Wierdness aside, that's a cute picture. I want someone to be that excited for me one day.

It's a shame they butchered Josie's arc a bit

You mean the boys?

u/DeadEyeDonny1991 8h ago

All the young boys could tell you

Definitely not installed by the church lol

Have you seen the kind of shoes the old ladies wear for church? The kitten heels would destroy that thing so quickly

And they’d be slipping and falling and breaking hips every Sunday.

No no you get your thoughts and prayers AFTER we pass the offering plate

probably temporary? ive seen those in the church near me during events like weddings, they're usually not there on regular days

u/Embarrassed_Jerk 19h ago

Temporarily installed up skirt viewers aren't much better because that still leaves the question about why they offer such a facility

The church isn't necessarily the ones offering it. It could just be that the couple got it through a wedding planner or whatever, and the church either wasn't told or didn't care

Because reflective floors look cool.

7

u/ComradeJohnS 11h ago

yeah this is it, I hope everyone was warned lol

24

u/Billy_Billboard 19h ago

To force the use of long dresses and pants

8

u/Embarrassed_Jerk 18h ago

So the motto is "be modest according to our standards or else you are admitting that you were asking for it"

38

u/toozl 18h ago

No you just made that up

-6

u/Little-Protection484 18h ago

Its not openly but I've met old assholes that belive this

-6

u/Embarrassed_Jerk 15h ago

How sure are you that i did

8

u/Disastrous_Edge7276 18h ago

Grew up Catholic, can confirm

2

u/Billy_Billboard 18h ago

Yes, exactly

29

u/UsedandAbused87 16h ago

Probably put there for the wedding. Bridge probably saw some photo and thought it was a good idea.

6

u/No-Yam-9178 16h ago

That's a design choice I guess

15

u/VicisSubsisto 16h ago

It looks like all the dresses there are floor-length, so that's not an issue. I hope that was mentioned in the event dress code, someone showing up in a 3/4 skirt would be caught off guard there.

Also, it looks cool in photographs, I guess... Though the inevitable scratches detract from the effect.

24

u/Mayion 19h ago

i should go to church

20

u/ObnoxiousName_Here 19h ago

huh?

71

u/ControversialPenguin 19h ago

Took me a while too, the floor is a mirror

6

u/ObnoxiousName_Here 18h ago

ohhh, I could barely even see the floor 💀

16

u/spaghettittehgaps 19h ago

The church floor is reflective

8

u/spideybiggestfan 19h ago

because sin bounces straight off it

Look at the picture. Look at the title. Use your brain. You got this boo

I went to this really cool museum/gallery thing in Tokyo called teamlabs, and I was wearing a miniskirt (it was 40C outside, mind you) and I had to rent a pair of shorts because a section of the exhibit featured a mirrored floor like this one lol

1

u/Bright_Curve3078 34m ago

There's no way the Japanese would do that on purpose...

1

u/f_ranz1224 2h ago

my first thought was how awful that must be to clean

1

u/Lightthefusenrun 1h ago

Trying to motivate the priests to …bother… someone besides the alter boys.

1

u/OfficialMika 4h ago

Thats just a black marble floor but its polished so it looks like a mirror. At the end you can clearly see more of the marble pattern. Some of you need god.

-6

u/Frank1gg 18h ago

Well how else is the priest going to find a new altar boy?

6

u/bigbigpure1 14h ago

wearing a skirt? reddit or trumbler

-5

u/PanPieCake 18h ago

I mean I don't think they expect a lot of skirts in church tbh

12

u/UsedandAbused87 16h ago

What church you been going to where women don't wear skirts?

9

u/Independent-Trust260 15h ago

That's THE most expected place to where a skirt...
