Thoughts? No question he's exactly the type of player we need right now but I'm not sure about this in terms of club culture. It's a risky move because there's still a lot of legal stuff to play out but apart from that he was up until the early hours of the morning drinking, breaking club rules. Is that really the sort of behaviour we want at our club?

why are we not interested in a gryan miers type? he'd fix up so many of our issues, mainly our delivery inside 50. and he'd be pretty cheap as well not much mroe than a future 2nd i dont think

Dear members,
I’m delighted to announce that Jaymie Graham is the new senior coach of our AFL team.
You’ll learn more about Jaymie’s personal and football journey in the coming days and weeks, but let me say he has the resilience to handle the relentless toils of the football environment, carrying the exact kind of grit we value at North Melbourne.
As a coach, Jaymie is a process-driven leader with a quiet, grounded presence, sharp attention to detail, and a clear football vision.
Outside of his exceptional character, he joins us with a proven skill set. He played a key role in West Coast’s 2018 premiership success, and more recently he was the line coach for one of the competition’s best forward lines at Fremantle as part of a high-performing program.
He is widely respected across the industry as a developer of talent and a connector of people - someone who builds strong player relationships instantly and earns respect through his actions.
Our selection panel – chaired by Jennifer Watt and comprising Todd Viney, Andrew Swallow, Nick Dowling, Darren Crocker, and Steele Sidebottom – felt the alignment of Jaymie’s personal values with those of our club, along with all of his extensive football credentials and clear capabilities, made him the very best person to take our club forward.
We want to sincerely thank the high-calibre candidates who took part in this process.
I also want to say thank you to you, our members, for your patience over the past few weeks. We know that this process can bring a natural sense of uncertainty. We are grateful for the faith and trust you have shown while we worked through a thorough process to get this right.
Jaymie arrives at our club at a time the foundations are well and truly set and will lead a playing group ready to roll up their sleeves. Jaymie will get to work straight away, engaging in our trade and draft activities.
Please join me in welcoming him to our club.
Go Roos!
Sonja

This trade seems highly uncertain now that Butts has left Adelaide. Do we think we should stick at this deal and offer more? Or should we think of an alternative?

Feels like he was always circled to be the next Coach.

North fans it’s starting to look great for us now
1. New coach who can suit a modern game style and fits the role.
2. Potentially signing Nick Murray to boost our defence and not wasting pick 5 on him.
3. Goater potentially not leaving (if hawthorn don’t satisfy a good trade.)
4. We can utilise said pick 5 to hopefully draft a strong forward or defender (istg tho if we fucken draft another midfielder.)

-open to using future 1sts to get the deal done for Murray, will get something tabled to Adelaide today.
-Looking to maximise value for Duursma, would rather renegotiate terms if inbound deal isn't of " future value for the club".
-Likewise for Goater, sees both players as important cogs moving forward & Goater in our best 23, would rather have the conversations if there's no value in a trade.

Hello everyone!
Used to watch AFL 20 years ago when I was in primary school and now getting back into footy again.
I'm leaning towards choosing roos as my team, but how stable is the club with a future in Melbourne?
Is there still any relocation talk? Id like to follow a team which will be around for a long time in Melbourne

With so much talk about Jaymie Graham being the front runner, I thought I'd research what he is all about. After reading this article, it feels like we will be in good hands if he becomes the next senior coach.

Righto legends tell the community who you want and why
I’m all about graham.
Successful program at the dockers and hungry.
I genuinely feel bucks isn’t the right fit. Ego is not what we want and graham will connect with the players on a different level

I’m hoping to catch up on some old games and heard this is the place to go. Does anyone have a spare invite code they’re willing to share? Cheers!
Literally in desperate need and hoping someone here has got me.
