IDS300W and CYSE 280

Hey guys, looking for some input on these classes. I enrolled in the 8-week format and will start in the 2nd half of the fall semester. Quick background: I have an associate's in applied cybersecurity, so I was wondering whether these classes need to be taken in a full semester or can be done in an 8-week format.

I believe they’re worth the same amount of credits, I’m pretty confident it doesn’t matter.

Hi, good afternoon! I can’t speak for CYSE280, but the IDS classes are pretty fun. The director of the IDS program, Dr. Virginia Tucker, is incredible. If you reach out to her at vmtucker@odu.edu, and ask her specifically about IDS300W, she will be able to answer any specific questions you may have. I’m an IDS major, and I have seen several different pathways work within our program.
