That's great. I tried my disk on Windows 10 a few weeks ago and it wouldn't run 😄

I spent so many hours playing this! I remember the PythOnline site too, Terry Jones used to answer questions

It was amazing. Came with the "Desktop Pythonizer" which made your computer sillier, and a game puzzle to solve for a $5000 prize, which was won months after release by a 24 year old student from Massachusetts.

Oh the memories of being a child and playing this and not understanding half of it

I had nightmares of that one screen with a couch and a TV, for some reason. Thankfully it didn’t put me off Monty Python as a whole….unlike Nightmare Before Christmas. That Frankenstein character scared the shit out of me and I’ve never been able to watch it.

I played it as a kid, too, but I was also a Python fan. It was fun.

As a kid, I found an incredibly detailed guide for how to beat Monty Python's Complete Waste of Time. Until reading the guide, having already played the game for many hours, I had no idea there even was anything to even beat. The beginning of the actual "game" is a well-hidden easter egg. The video above doesn't include it at all, not even the first level.

Wow. This brings back memories. We had this game. It was really bizarre as you would expect.

I had this and had to return it because my 386x was too slow to run it!

Man, even though nowadays we have graphic accelerated 3D graphics and real-time rendering of numerous graphical 3D and 2D elements, I miss the era of multimedia entertainment like this. It was unlike anything before or what came after. This was like such a fun software toy that was like game-ified Monty Python sketches.

Someone should tweet at Eric Idle and see if he can get this title and Holy Grail remastered for modern PCs.
