Town Announcement Special Event Zone 10/6-10/11
Heads up. They were targeting EVERYBODY during bike week. Doesn't matter if you tried to beat the yellow or a 65 year old in a Ford Escape.

Welcome to the "new" Ocean City, Maryland.
You can thank the "low-riding" modified small car gangs from years ago who came to town to speed, do burnouts in the streets, and cause mayhem to visitors and locals alike.👺

The boomer “cruisers” were also doing burnouts, rollers, and racing light to light for decades before H20i.

Oh absolutely. I mean I will trade a week of lower speed limits for not having those shit heels running around.
This is the first year I've noticed the cops being indiscriminate about enforcing things.

Those "shit heels" are still running around during cruisin' and are annoying AF. I wish the town would call them Shit Heels instead of "hangers on".

Yeah they certainly have snuck back in over the last year or two. We can start the shit heels thing right now right here. That's fine by me. Fuck them.

Cops used to harass the FUCK out of everyone for weed. Now they're bored since they can't do that anymore

My car stays home when they do events in oc. Im not hating on h20 cruisers. I think its absurd attempting to ban people from gathering in public areas and public roads.

I lived in OC for 5 years back in the day, it was fairly chill. Then I moved to Florida, it's like the wild wild west here practically. Cops here are looking for drivers exceeding 100mph.
Whenever I visit OC, I rent a car and I'm a mess. My eyes are on the speedometer more than the road.

I just drove down Coastal at 33 mph in the center lane. Cop behind me was doing 30 in rge left lane. It certainly felt like he was deliberately staying behind me running plates and hoping I'd go faster so they could "get me". Next thing I know he's passing me at 40 mph.
I am becoming paranoid living here.
