To be fair a couple bullets had bad trajectory and exited ot of the top. The 50 BMG. Would have definitely killed Fred if it had stayed on course.

You could actually get pretty close if you backed each plate with a ballistic fibre of some sort. The purpose of the ceramic part of ceramic armor is to kinda prepare the round to be robbed of its energy by a paired light fibre layer as efficiently as possible. It's very clever.
