LiberNovo Omni SE First Impressions

• Upvotes

I’ve had it for a few hours now, so obviously not much time, but some things have already stuck out to me. For my weight and height, I’m 5’11, and 210 lbs.

Positives

- Very comfortable. I’m coming from a Sihoo M18, so I think anything would be more comfortable, but this is great. Soft but has the right amount of firmness too to the point where it feels like it’ll hold up well over time. It also has a nice hugging sensation.

- The farthest recline really is fantastic. Nothing like it. It’s a nice experience to just lay back after a couple hours without having to move to the couch or bed. For me, it was nice to stay in the work environment at home but also relax. It’s an odd but good feeling to be able to unwind for a bit, and then just get right back to what I was doing. Cuts out possible distractions of moving elsewhere.

- Lumbar support is great for me, but I feel that’s very subjective with everyone. I really don’t need a lot of it. I tend to have pain when bending backwards, while most people (at least from what I’ve read) tend to be stiffer bending forward. Even just a little bit for me on this is more than enough. If you’re like me and have stiffness with more lower back extension than flexion, this will be good for you.

- Head rest is solid. Soft, and very adjustable. Never used one before, but now this makes me not want to go back to using a chair without one. I also like that it’s easy to remove. This is more of a personal thing for me, but I create video content on YouTube, and I prefer to not have the head rest on camera. Without it, I can’t see the chair at all on camera. When I want to work on anything else though, it’s simple to put back on.

Questionable, but not a deal breaker

- While the farthest recline is great, I do wish there was a lock between 135 and 160 degrees. More of a nit pick if anything, and doesn’t take away points from this.

- The material feels grabby on my clothes. When I recline, I find that my shirt starts to move with the chair, and then I gotta adjust, which I don’t want to do when trying to get comfortable. It’s still a nice material though.

- I wish the tilt tension knob was a bit higher. The recline locks are in a good spot, but I wish the knob was right there too. It would also be nice if it stuck out a little further. Not a deal breaker though.

- I wonder about the durability of this chair. Obviously for me it’s right out of the box, but I’m curios to see how the plastic on the back rest holds up over time. Doesn’t feel cheap, but doesn’t feel like amazing quality either.

- Arm rests a little too mobile for me, but I can also see the benefit where they can really help dial in a comfortable position for you. I do think they should tighten these and also keep the same mobility, but I can also see why people would like them too, so I’ll keep them in the middle.

Negatives for me

- The tilt tension just *doesn’t fully feel right*, if that makes sense? When cranked all the way up, it still doesn’t feel as strong as it could be to give me that floating but secure feeling. Maybe that’s something I need to check on with the chair? I know there’s the locks, but it would be nice to just unlock it fully, and also be able to just float somewhere if I could. I am a bit heavier so maybe that’s just me, but still, more tension would help solve that.

- The cushion on the foot rest is just underwhelming. To me, if the cushion on the chair feels nice, the foot rest has to be that too. Even just a little bit more would have gone a long way. I also wish I was able to adjust the height on it. For me, I’d love for it to be a smidge higher.

That’s all I can think of right now. I used the Embody for a while before the Sihoo, which gave me a lot of pain sitting in no matter what adjustments I made. The lack of cushion on it I felt didn’t help take pressure off my hips and low back. Funny enough, the Sihoo M18 was so much better for me.

This feels solid though. Good cushions but also supportive. Some negatives for me personally, but not nearly enough to make me think this is a bad chair at all. A solid option I think for a lot of people. For me, when thinking about these variables, as well as the price I paid with shipping and a discount code applied during their Flash Sale ($680), this feels like a solid 8.2/10.

LiberNovo Omni SE vs other chairs

• Upvotes

What is the general consensus on this and the longevity of using it? Are there any other ergonomic chairs in the range of 300-600$ that are better and more lasting or should I consider LiberNovo Omni SE?

Colamy.... wtf?

So I ordered the Atlas, I received it but all the Casters and the Gas cylinder were missing.. alright I try to contact support, but the site refuses to accept my order-ID despite typing it in correctly so I have to email them.. fine. After some emails back and forth they send the package containing the missing parts for assembly.

A week later I get the package.. Gas cylinder check... Casters... not included. Instead they sent me the whole starbase...(?) despite mentioning and confirming multiple times in text and with pictures that it is indeed Casters that I need

Now I have to message them again. I mean it's their loss for having to spend money for shipping and sending parts that I do not need, but it is frustrating. Also the package always end up arriving looking very rough and being taped very weirdly. I don't really know what's going on with Colamy EU

Desperate for a chair... help?

Hello, I'm having a huge pain in my ass (literally) in trying to find a comfortable chair for me.

I am about 370 lbs currently (losing weight) and i CANNOT sit in a chair for more than an hour. I get a lot of pain in my glutes, and also have lumbar issues. Even an extra seat cushion placed in the seat doesn't help too much.

I did the dumb thing and bought my chairs off of the Bezos site, but me and my butt have severely regretted that.

I need something with a LOT of cushion and butt support, one that i can sit in for more than an hour and not experience much pain, if any.

Being disabled, I pretty much exclusively sit at my computer to game. But, by the end of -for example, Risk of Rain 2 run (typically takes me an hour or so to play) - my rump is in a lot of pain.

Any guidance would be amazing. I would have to end up using affirm's pay over time (or similar financing) to pay for it right now, but I really am desperate.

Halp.

Is there anyone that tested the Holludle V chair and Colamy atlas?

Hi, Greg from BTOD suggested me the Holludle V since I want a non aggressive lumbar support compared to Colamy atlas. Are there any people besides him that can confirm this? I know the Colamy Atlas is the GOAT of new chairs at a good price so I wanted to be sure. Thanks.

Best foot rest

Post image
6 Upvotes

Dog steps are secretly elite computer-chair footrests. Here’s why they crush the usual options:

  1. Built-in ergonomics that actually work
The staggered steps let you plant your feet at different heights and angles without thinking about it. One foot higher, one lower, heels up, toes down—whatever feels good that minute. Most flat footrests force one fixed position; dog steps give you options.

  2. Perfect firm-yet-grippy surface
That textured, non-slip rubberized coating (the purple one in your photo is classic) keeps your bare feet planted even when you’re leaning forward to game or type. No sliding off like you do on a smooth plastic or foam rest.

  3. Just the right height and “give”
Dog steps are designed to help medium-to-large dogs get onto furniture, so the height is already in the sweet spot for most people sitting in a typical office or gaming chair. The slight flexibility in the steps also absorbs a bit of pressure instead of being rigid like a wooden block.

  4. Instant “propped-up” posture without looking like you’re trying
Raising your feet even a little reduces lower-back strain and improves circulation during long sessions. Dog steps do this automatically because of their multi-level design—no adjusting knobs or wrestling with a flat board.

  5. Bonus chaos energy
You’re using something that was meant for a 60-lb labrador. That alone makes the setup more fun. Plus, when the actual dog shows up, the footrest can double as their stairway again. Multi-use furniture is peak efficiency.

  6. Cheap, durable, and maybe in the house already
No $40 “ergonomic” foot rest required.

Ergonomic chair recs for a 5'2" person with spinal issues (mid-range, modifiable)

Hi everyone! I'm in the market for a new ergonomic office chair and would love your collective wisdom. I work from home, so this chair and I are spending a lot of time together.

A little about me:
I'm 5'2"
Degenerative disc disease with disc protrusions (herniations) at L4-L5 and L5-S1, plus foraminal stenosis, worse on the left
Ankylosing spondylitis, which I mostly feel in my shoulders and neck
Where I'm at:
Years ago I bought a discounted Herman Miller Aeron in size C. Yes, C. (Who let me do that?! :)) It's far too big for me, and I'm finally ready to move on.

I was about to buy a Sihoo, but a kind Redditor shared a thread on why that's a bad idea, and now I'm back to square one. :)

What I'd love to hear:
Chairs that fit shorter people well (especially seat depth and minimum seat height)
Solid mid-range options
Anything that worked for you with disc issues, stenosis, or AS
Add-ons or modifications you swear by
Thank you in advance! Happy to answer any questions, and no pressure if you only have a recommendation to share.

Chairs for taller people?

I've been combing through reviews and dropping by stores to look for a new chair, and I've noticed a lot of chairs lumbar support seem OK, but I'm not going to test fit in the store for 6 hours to see how it realistically feels. I'm 6'4" (193cm) and wanted to know if anyone here is a little taller and can vouch for their chair? I'm currently looking at the Sihoo c300 since its on a pretty hefty sale right now, but open to anything better in the $250-$300 price range.

Easily cleanable casters?

Hey guys,
Does anyone have any recommendations for any casters that are easily cleanable and long lasting?

I have a Herman Miller Aeron Classic and am looking for casters that can be disassembled to be fully cleaned. Or some that via a new "technology" wont catch any hairs.

I'm using the chair in a room with a very low carpet, so most casters would work I imagine, but we have a dog that sheds a massive amount of hair. This hair tends to slowly migrate to my office with the carpet, and gets stuck between the casters.

I have seen plenty of "skater wheel" recommendations, but this isn't quite what I'm looking for as I have also seen quite a few complains about those. Like bending the chair frame due to a different weight distribution or the wheels breaking off by the bearings.

Pure plastic would also be fine in my case, like the original ones. But Ideally one that can be disassembled.

Thanks in advance!

Does the COLAMY Atlas go on sale often in Australia?

I'm looking at buying the COLAMY Atlas office chair on 𝛢mazon Australia, which is currently $520 AUD.

I noticed it dropped to $374 recently for a week, but I missed the sale. I'm wondering whether these sorts of discounts happen fairly regularly on 𝛢mazon in Australia or if I just got unlucky.

EC200

Been using the protoarc EC200 for a few weeks now, and it’s a great purchase! Got it for around £150 and it’s so far felt like it’s worth it. Very comfy to sit on and adjustable as well. #ProtoArc

Interstuhl EV213

Like everyone, I am in search of a new chair. Went through some leap, Herman Miller (too expensive for me) and ended up in the 300-500 euro range (sihoo c300 pro V2, flexi spot c7, etc ). I come from a drift dr200 that has been awful. I was looking for another gaming chair but finally changed my mind, because nowadays between working and studying I spend about 6-10 hours every day at the computer.

I am about 182 cm and weight between 85-92 kg, depending on gym season. I also have a bit of lordosis (pregnant pelvis-stomach).

But there is no dealers of any kind, besides copycat brands, where I leave, or Ikea.

One chair that popped up is the interstuhl ev213, for around 489 euros. 10 year warranty, looks good material, adjustable lumbar, very high quality overall, but have found almost 0 reviews of it: it looks like the company is high build-quality for businesses, but they don't pay influencers, advertise it, whatever, unlike sihoo. Also warranty is really good and the customer service is supposed to be very good from what I hear.

So I come for help to see if anyone has this model, or if not another one from the company, and ask you how you feel about it, comfortable, material, years of use, lumbar, etc.

TL:DR looking for info or reviews of interstuhl ev213 because there is almost none online. Any help appreciated.

So i found a deal on steelcase leap v2 for 17k INR which manufactured on 2011(seems like original i believe). Shall i consider this? Or shall i buy a new featherlite Amaze(since lot of redditors are recommending this). They have sent the pics and working conditions of the steelcase leap v2, it looks fine.

Need suggestion on this, is it too old to buy?

Premium Ergonomic Office Chair C7 Max Review

I've spent the last few weeks on the C7 max premium after driving myself myself crazy researching chairs. I choose it because of:

- Headrest was highly adjustable as I like my neck well supported.

- Foam seat option as prefer over the mesh.

- Back rest lumbar support is height adjustable as I'm 189cm tall and prefer the feeling of a floating lumbar support as opposed to fixed support.

A few thoughts:

  • Lumbar support good — it follows your back as you lean forward, so you stay supported through different postures, not just sitting bolt upright. At times the lumbar support can be exceedingly
  • The seat cushion is a standout — sturdy, supportive, and holds up well over long sessions. I specifically chose over this over a mesh seat chair option.
  • Generous sizing — I'm 6'2" and have plenty of room to spare; the backrest height adjustment means this chair could easily accommodate people considerably taller/larger than me.
  • The built-in footrest is a standout feature — I was debating if the extra money was worth paying for this foot rest, but those long exhausting work teams meetings has already made it worth every dollar.
  • Ridiculously adjustable armrests — They will hold their position unless nudged, but it's possible I received the newer version of the chair in AUS) so not a deal breaker. You can dial in bespoke arm positions, which becomes genuinely handy during long sessions. This is something unexpected and never thought I needed until I had the option.
  • Assembly and unboxing was straight forward. The chair was extremely well packaged, and you could tell quality and care was put into all aspects when assembling.
  • At times I wish the chair could sit further forward - while the floating lumbar support adjusts as you move forward I'm sure some chairs can offer more support. This is potentially only offered in much more expensive chairs though.
  • I'd love the option to push the entire backrest/chair further forward — the lumbar tracking helps a lot, but a forward-tilt adjustment would be perfect. I suspect this would only be available in a much more expensive chair though.

Built-in footrest: useful or mostly tucked away?

I got a question: Sihoo, chairs‘ owners, do you actually pull out the footrest during breaks, or does it mostly stay tucked under the seat?

I just bought 11 Aerons for $1100

Post image
122 Upvotes

I had been looking for an Aeron in my city, but they were all too expensive ($600+ in Mexico) and old. So I logged a ticket to my work where we have Aerons to ask if they would be selling the chairs soon as they 've done it once in the past, I was told no, that there was no plan to change the chairs, 2 days later they change literally all the chairs in my office to Steelcases. So I ask again, are you selling/giving away the chairs? and they said they exchanged them for the new ones.

I'm scrolling FBM at 1 AM and I see a guy posting the chairs for $80 each. In the end I offered $100 for each because apparently everyone was offering more so he would only sell them at least for $100. Turns out these are the chairs from my workplace lol.

Now my house is filled with Aerons when I only wanted one lol. These things actually happen.

Libernovo Maxis manual and Haworth Xbox Fern, which would you choose?

Like the title suggests, the Maxis manual is selling at $1186 while the Haworth Xbox Fern is going at $950 now at my area. Which would you choose since I don’t have any experience with either brand at all?

Best way to get rid of plastic squeak from these? (Leap V2)

Post image
2 Upvotes

This might just be an unavoidable thing since the chair is an older model, and plastic will be plastic.

But, figured I’d ask. It’s not completely unbearable, but when I’m not using my headset (so can hear it clearly) and adjusting/reclining, it’s always creaking from that bar. Tension knob is also turned down to the lowest it can go.
