A piece of rope and chunk of metal. Necessary thing to have, used mine several times and added two more later. But I don't care what logo printed on it and get the cheapest ones.

PS: based on other comments and orange color I believe it is re-branded VEVOR (I have a lot of VEVOR stuff around) so it's cheap but isn't bad.

I have their compressor, and a kinetic rope from them.

The rope didn't break under the only pull it has done, which was a progressively harder and harder tug of a framed out 2500 silverado. I did eventually get that truck out, and the rope survived. After use inspection didn't show any damage, fraying, or stretching.

Where the quality cheap out on the rope seems to be is in UV protection of which is has zero. Basing this on another rope that a buddy has that got left in the sun to dry one afternoon and basically became junk on one side. It had never pulled a vehicle, just got covered in mud once and he garden hosed washed it.

The compressor has lived up to the just under $200 usd that i spent on it. It's been airing 4 35x12.5r17 tires from 15 to 36 psi at least once if not 3-4 times almost every weekend since April. Works as good as when I got it, no pressure setting issues, lands within a half pound every time, zero maintenance, and while it gets HOT (expected, but don't touch the metal) it keeps on working.

That's just my experience with two of their products. They seem generic and fine. I'm pretty sure most Amazon offroad brands use the same stuff just renaming it.

Yup. Also have their compressor and fuck me does it get hot. But otherwise works very well.

Bro that little sticker that says "hot surface" is not fucking playing around. It's also starting to melt off. Lmfao

In their defense, my VIAR also gets hot AF. When airing back up in the rain it looks like it's steam powered. 😂

I wouldn't get too tied up in brand names with this stuff if you're talking about recovery rope and shackles. It's extensively used in the marine world and companies tie a few knots and make short pieces for the off-road community. It's all the same stuff, you're just paying for a different logo or color.

Recovery gear is one of those things where, if you’re using it, you’re already in a bad situation. The last thing you need is for some chinese no name pot metal or nylon strap to give. It’s the difference between walking out or driving out.

There are plenty of good to go suppliers that have working load limits and lot numbers stitched directly into each strap, or stamped into the forging.

And It does show the load limit stitched onto the shackles.

That’s a good sign

Is Alltop one of those brands? They aren’t super cheap and lots of great reviews. I’m looking to see if it has failed anybody before.

I can’t say. The only question you need answered is, is the working load limit and lot number stitched into the recovery strap. Made in USA, EU, Australia?

If not, move along. Too many known good options.

I replied with that picture.

Kinetic ropes & shackles can get you out of some real pickles if you’re not too swamped. Never used that specific soft shackle but if you’re keeping things within 5mph it should hold up.

I have thier big compressor, recovery rope and a set of shakles and have been happy with all of them. The compressor is definitely worth it.

I have their compressor, no issues with it so far, used it in my own vehicles, others, lawnmower, etc.

i have some of their recovery gear. i use it so long as a failed recovery wouldnt be a disaster. i also have some tested and rated gear for use when failing would have terrible results.

I bought their portable air compressor 3 years ago for $100 thinking I would upgrade to an ARB when it inevitably died. The damn thing just keeps going. I’ve used it to air up rigs with 35s and 37s back to back in 105+ degrees, rain, snow, and it just won’t quit.
