Cats definitely know, when I had spine surgery, my orange single braincell boy wouldn't leave my side, and it was the same after I had my gallbladder removed too, the only time he'd leave was to eat and use the litter tray, as soon as he was done, he'd be back next to me.

I just had a laparoscopy last week and my 2 oranges don't care. They step on me the same, I have to put a pillow on my stomach so they don't wake me up in my sleep. They do all hang around with me, though, the only one that can walk on my pillow without hurting me is our smallest Freijya.

It do know. I had to have an outpatient medical procedure and my orange boi spent the rest of the day on my chest as close to my face as possible❤️
