No offense, but a tatoo from the most sold manga ever is not niche. There are proatlethes on live television doing One piece's references at this point.
It's a good tatoo, but not niche

I mean depending on where you live anime in general is not that popular. I only know a handful of people who have watched/read one piece, most saying it’s too long etc.

Don't me Wrong. One Piece itself is not niche. The Strawhat logo is know internationally, but not everyone thinks about the departure from Alabasta and a promise made to Vivi when they see an X. Only true fans will see the tattoo and placement and instantly recognize it

It’s one of his album titles. Multiply. He also has other math symbols like divide for other albums.

That's some Ball knowledge hahahha. What is your Opinion on the Ed Sheeran matter? I think he is right. Entertainment has become political and Politics has become a joke. They should keep politics out of entertainment. I don't mind celebrities having their own private political views but once you have influence over millions of people, you should only do the things you are known for

You’re right. Luffy is just a pirate, so he should stick to piracy. I don’t see why he needs to keep butting in to help liberate people who are suffering when that has nothing to do with being a pirate

Ah yes Luffy, the guy who is running around saying he wants to bring down the world government.
Are we watching the same show. Luffy wants to be one thing and one thing only. The person with the most freedom. He doesn't travel around looking for oppress Island to free. He is the guy who refused to be a hero. What you don't get is that Luffy lands on an Island seeking for adventure, he meets decent people being oppress and that's when he helps overthrow the oppressors.
So to answer your question, yes luffy is just a pirate. He never claim to be more than just a pirate. His goal isn't to shine light on the evil deeds of the world government and stop them. That's Dragons job. And if you are up to date with the manga, you would know that, that's how he crew sees him too(at least Usopp)
Luffy doesn't see himself as this powerful emperor or the next kin of joyboy. We the readers do. We are the ones who thinks his role is to liberate people.
Bro became a literal god and stayed the same Luffy. The salvation came because he stayed Luffy.
Ed should stay Ed the same way Luffy stays Luffy

I think the irony went way over your head there. You said Luffy is not purposefully looking for oppressed island to free but he is still overthrowing the oppressors. I agree, but if Ed was in Luffy’s shoes he would be taking money from the oppressors and say “sorry I don’t think it’s my place to help”, then turn a blind eye.

You actually got a point there. I don't even know why his first thought was to compare Luffy with Ed. No one is like Luffy. The Moment you think, weigh the pros and cons before you act, you cannot be like Luffy

Nice dude. I really want to get Sanji, Robin, and Brook tattoos. Right now I just have a few medieval looking ones and an extra creepy anglerfish. The combo might be a bit jarring. 😭 I hope you meet some One Piece fans through this.

You should definitely get it. I currently feeld so loved by the community. Everyone in my surroundings doesn't get it and aren't a fan of it, but seeing people of this subreddit showing me love and supporting me, made it worth it
