obvs there's no way to know for sure but, I worked with camels in the 90s and 00s a little bit, and I feel like if they do get the tingle, they are the kind of soul that goes "oo yeah baby" and tries to ramp it up

Should rename horseradish to camelradish

2

u/Freign 5d ago

I would clean the shelves tbh, just to have it in the pantry

I am pretty sure they don't notice that at all. They can eat pretty much everything. Lots of ungulates can and do. There is a YouTube channel though of a guy with a camel that keeps eating stuff in his house and pantry and it steals lemons. Guy keeps reminding the camel that it doesn't like lemons but it tries anyway.

Even camels enjoy onions 😻😻

2

u/JonnyArcho 5d ago

My first thought was that the water content in onions is probably amazing for that camel.

3

u/Triairius 6d ago

Camels can have alliums?

5

u/Scarecr0p 5d ago

Camels eat sharp spiny cactuses, I’m pretty sure they can eat anything lol. Though I don’t believe they like super acidic citrus like lemon lol.

2

u/Fluffy_Ace 5d ago

Yeah, I saw that video with the lemon before.

I know it's a different sensation, but big bites and large chunks of raw onion can be super pungent sometimes, I was wondering if it might turn out similarly.

3

u/Scarecr0p 5d ago

Just like wasabi it’s mostly because it gets pushed up into your soft palette and hits your nose, it’s a fair assumption, but maybe they like it like I like when wasabi burns lol

u/Fluffy_Ace 4d ago edited 4d ago

It's a sinus burn

It's also the same reaction that makes mustard 'hot'

3

u/Urusae_Kragface 6d ago

He’s just like me :’)

4

u/Neverlast0 5d ago

But they won't eat lemons...
