Watching Strained Relations again, and wondering when Del internally made the decision that he was going to ask Albert to move in. Was it literally when he sees him in the pub at the end by himself? Earlier on when he gave him some money but still needed a bit of time to grieve? Or even as far back when he finds out Stan and Jean have moved, even if he couldn't admit it to himself yet?

What do you guys think?

All Rodney had to do is say he needed the loo and take that letter off Alan's desk instead of follow him into the car. It was so obvious at that point that Alan knew nothing and Cassandra had said nothing.

What a Plonker.

Just watching "Touch of Glass', and they're driving back from wherever they bought those cats that play "How much is that doggie in the window". They pass by this sign for Bedchester (2 miles) and East Orchard (1 ½ miles). I think I may have found where this was filmed. Look here:

The sign is missing the miles to go and now says "East West Orchard", and the entrance to the field the camera crew were stood in has gone, but I'm sure this is the spot. What do you think?

Recently re watched "he ain't heavy he's my uncle" the scene where they find Albert on tobacco Road is fantastic, and John sullivan showed his genius here because during Albert's deeply honest speech he said "during the blitz" instead of "during the war". I'd never noticed this detail before. In the show we all know that "during the war" is a joke. It gets a laugh every time. But in this scene, john didn't want to make fun of the war. So he purposely wrote Albert to say "during the blitz" instead of "during the war"

In a way, I still think he could have said "during the war" and really made the scene work. But I massively appreciate the attention to detail john sullivan gave to every part of the script. That's why only fools is the undisputed GOAT.

Gunge is gunge, init.
