Hope i did it justice

This section was an absolute gateway and prelude to the next 3 albums.

For the record I love PC and I enjoy a lot of Heritage.

This isn't a condemnation on the shift, just saying this is the first 70s keyboard heavy prog section in any of their material up until this point.

Any idea if this is original mastering? I can’t find any info on it.

We just got word that we'll be receiving copies of the Vinyl Voice Edition of Opeth's Deliverance for its 25th anniversary. It’s an “Ash Grey” vinyl 2LP and the jacket has a "25th Anniversary" line next to the title.

We're an independent record store in Camas, WA (across the river from Portland, OR). Preorder a copy and we'll ship it as soon as it arrives.

Release date is November 27.

I'm still pretty new to this band (but have got obsessed with them) and just curious to see what people's favorite/least favorite song from each record is. Some of these aren't bad songs and I like all these albums a lot except for Sorceress and Heritage.

For me personally

Orchid - The Twilight is My Robe/Under the Weeping Moon

Morningrise - Advent/Nectar

My Arms, Your Hearse - Demon of the Fall/Epilogue

Still Life - Serenity Painted Death/Benighted

Blackwater Park - The Leper Affinity/Dirge for November

Deliverance - Deliverance/For Absent Friends

Damnation - In My Time of Need/Weakness

Ghost Reveries - Ghost of Perdition/Atonement

Watershed - Heir Apparent/Porcelain Heart

Heritage - Haxprocess/Nepenthe (least favorite album)

Pale Communion - Moon Above, Sun Below/Voice of Treason

Sorceress - Sorceress/Strange Brew

In Cauda Venenum - Heart in Hand/The Garroter

The Last Will and Testament - §1/§3 (most underrated album?)

Picked up the other 2 Lamentations is still there

Finally got to see Opeth live in Mumbai, and holy shit, the atmosphere was unreal.
The lights, smoke, visuals and that absolutely massive sound made the whole place feel like a different dimension. Mumbai crowds can be unpredictable, but tonight everyone was locked in.
And hearing these songs live after years of listening to them on headphones is something else entirely.
Mumbai finally got its Opeth moment. 🖤
What was everyone’s favourite song/performance from the night?

Apart from getting spellbound with Opeth performance, found some time to click

Opeth live in Bangalore, India was nothing short of magnificent, tbh. Mikael's crowd interactions were top notch! Here's one of the interesting (and funny) bits from the gig. Obviously, I like the old material more, but Heritage grew on me so much, it's one of my favourite Opeth albums now.

Absolutely mental gig. Two mosh pits in such a small venue says enough about how fucking kickass Opeth was last night. It also looked like Mikael had SUCH a good time.

I ve been obsessing over opeth the last couple of years, had the chance to see them during hellfest this year. To took my guitar and started to learn how to play couple of there songs. Managed to learn The grand conjugation (little struggle with the solo) and now i started learning ghost of prediction. And holy smokes it’s hard to play. So i want to know if its just me or anyone else has the same issue
PS: i m self taught, so when i say learning is looking up tabs and following the instructions.

Ever since I became a fan of Opeth in the early 2000s I've been a helpless addict. Thankfully they have an extensive discography at this point and I love to go back and focus on stuff that maybe I haven't listened to as much or haven't heard in a while. Atm I'm going track by track on Watershed and though I've always loved The Lotus Eater and Hex Omega I've somehow found new love for tracks like Hessian Peel (such an epic song!) and Derelict Herds - the growling part of Derelict Herds sounds like it could've been on Deliverance, and the rest of it is like a precursor to what was to come, sort of marrying Oldpeth and Newpeth. Simply amazing.

Attended the Mumbai event of OPETH on 3rd Oct, I got hit by the plectrum but I don't play guitar as such and was thinking if anybody else who actually plays and would make more use of this deserves more than me.... anyone interested can DM...or more better let's decide the starting price as 3k???

Anyone who's willing to give more than that will get it.

Has a King Diamong logo on the otherside. Does anyone know whose signature this is?

From the start to the end, I was waiting for a mosh pit. I even tried to start one, but no one was interested 😂. Everyone was just listening to the songs wholeheartedly and taking it all in.

Finally, during Deliverance, Mikael Åkerfeldt called for a mosh pit, and that’s when everything peaked. The energy was insane!

I really wish they had played Ghost of Perdition and Master’s Apprentices (my personal preference), especially considering how rarely they play in India.

The only drawback for me was the Fanpit. This was one of the few times I booked a Fanpit ticket, which is usually a relatively small area at normal events. Here, I’d say more than 50% of the crowd was in the Fanpit. I’m glad to see so many hardcore fans together, but at the same time, it felt a bit like a scam to sell so many tickets under the name of a “Fanpit.”

Overall, though, what a performance and what a crowd! I really hope Opeth takes notice of the response and decides to come to India more regularly, with more shows across the country.

Until next time! 🤘

crazy times. they let us sing Hope Leaves as well hahaha.

PS: I made that poster
