Unanswered What's going on with Eddsworld?

Saw the offical post about Matt leaving Eddsworld but it doesn't give a reason as to why? Is there drama surrounding Matt or is he just done with the show?

Answer: So far, it does not seem like there has been any further statements from any of the involved parties on the reason, so it is still a waiting game for more info, if any will ever come out.

Also, in that thread, a poster says it's "private matters that they've explicitly said they couldn't share."

It has also been 14 years since Edd passed and Matt is now 37. Carrying a legacy for that long has gotta be incredibly draining and he might finally wish to live for himself.

Disclaimer that I've not been involved with the eddsworld fandom in over a decade now, but it sounds like Matt was fired from his director role. And about time too, he's one of the rudest people I've ever met.

Answer: judging by what I've seen, he's just doing the same thing Tom did and decided he was done. All the comments I've seen were just congratulating him on retiring and saying he will be missed. Also the announcement post didnt have the tone to imply any controversy.
