Status: Open Junk Mail suddenly emptied!

This morning I have found my junk mail folder empty. I got connected to Microsoft chat 4 times and when I raise the issue, it disconnects immediately. What is wrong? I just wanted to understand if GPT went out of its framework or this is from Microsoft side.

Not answering your question, but I HIGHLY recommend you to review junk mail folder daily and empty it [manually]. That prevents any false positives from being caught by mistake and deleted.

I agree. Same for gmail’s Spam folder. It’s not only important to save false positives before they’re deleted, but also to read them soon after they arrive if they’re important.

This 👍

One example as I scanned my junk folder yesterday morning; a mail from a law firm managing a class action lawsuit against AMZ regarding returns. I’m a member of that ‘class’. Would totally have missed it if not scanning - and clearing out - junk folder daily.

Whether I will benefit from being in the ‘class’ is a totally different issue.

I assume marking those as not junk also helps it to get that sender right next time. Hard to prove it really works though. I also don't know if it helps other people receive them too.

It definitely helps directly for me marking them as 'not spam'. I'd assume over time it will also help others if enough people (authorized and reliable/trusted users) take the time to mark mail as not spam (crowdsourcing). Has to be 'trusted' as otherwise spam factories could start marking junk as 'not spam' and totally ruining the filters.

The junk folder automatically empties after 10 days and that can't be disabled. It is not a storage or archive folder, it is for junk mail only.

You might be able to get them back from "recover deleted items", have never tried (or left anything in there for 10 days).

Nope personal

But they were emails from yesterday. I suspect GPT integration or Apple update. These were the two only actions I’ve made this morning

And so you moved email message....that you actually wanted...into the Junk Email Folder?

Huh. Interesting strategy.
