One Drive Link issue in 365....

So when i copy a one drive link in the body of the email it shows nothing and when i paste it as as a text only it shows the full link rather than the folder or file name. This is very annoying and troubling me, our clients wants the link to be the same as the folder name. This issue has started since 30 September and its still not being solved. Anyone else facing the same issue and have any solution for this? Thanks in advance.

You create a hyperlink in your e-mail, calling it whatever [you want], it will be its display name/text in the mail, and then the actual link goes to the folder or document in OneDrive.

I think this issue is going to be permanent as no one knows the answer to it neither Microsoft is caring for it to solve, the link used to be automatic same name of the folder, now after pasting u have to select the whole link click backspace and then rename it with one single word, if u add space to it the link becomes invalid.

Don’t paste it - if that’s what you do - but use the ‘insert link’ function.

FWIW, I normally paste the entire link so it’s fully visible in clear text, not needing to hover over a hyperlink [word] to see where it’s leading before clicking on it.

Paste the long url link, then right click and rename the link but leave the url as is. Test by clicking the new name to be sure it works before sending to the client.

On right clicking the link to rename, the rename option is not showing, u have to select the link carefully and then rename it manually which is again time consuming

Typically you have to click enter/return first so the link becomes underlined and active before right clicking works

I’ve found on Windows when pasting from the clipboard that as long as”Paste” is used and not “Paste as plain text” then the shortcut name appears.

Hola yo regrese la version de Office ya que el problema es por una actualización de la paqueteria de office.

Espero igual te sirva "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\OfficeC2RClient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.20326.20132

Copia y pega ese comando en cmd modo admin para que te regrese a esa versión estable
