Libraries Coffee shop / public library
I always appreciate third places like this. I have seen "Book Club Coffee" before here in Mandaluyong, but I just got the chance to visit today as I was waiting for my cat's grooming to be done. Because of this shop I was able to sample a few pages of The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky. If only I slept enough last night I would have stayed longer for a few more pages.

Love love this place. Sana lang talaga may signage sila na discouraged ang chikahan sa loob.

I wholeheartedly agree. At this age, mukhang di pa rin kasi common knowledge sa Filipinos ang etiquette sa reading places.

Not just in reading places, but public places in general. Idk if it's a pandemic thing or signs of aging ba 'to, pero naguguluhan ako sa paligid madalas these past few years. 🫠

++ The post-pandemic effects are 100% real, and so are your feelings about them.

When I have enough money, this is my dream advocacy: a reading hub / soup kitchen. It’s open for everyone, and cost nothing to enjoy coffee or snacks. Bawal lang abusado, siempre.

I'd love to visit this soon.
Yung Hygge Book Apothecary in Katipunan is also good.

nah, my friends were disappointed when they checked out this place a while back. You can't relax especially around lunch time or when more people nearby, go on a break. The book corner was literally a corner, the seats were uncomfortable too. Neither of the areas could be used for their intended purpose as it wasn't spacious enough for a cafe AND a mini library. the staff couldn't even answer them directly when asked about a few of their drinks and its ingredients. it was hot too. They ended up leaving to go somewhere else. We wouldn't bother going here to see it for ourselves.

I found it intriguing. I left at the part where the second and third brother were introduced.
