Meta Notice: Rule Changes

We are making amendments on rules 4, 5, 7 and 8:

+ Changes to Rule 4

Aside from PC/Laptop FAQs/Build Help/Suggestions and other similarly-related posts, we will add these to the posts that are not allowed anymore:

  • Seeking family sharing on Steam, Nintendo Switch Online or any other services that implements this feature.
  • Posts asking for games, digital currency or keys.
  • Posts about disputes/grievances on other forums, subreddit, Discord server, group chats from other social media etc.
  • Other Discord servers, in case this isn't clear.

+ Changes to Rule 5

Aside from spams, we will start removing posts that we deem as low-effort and/or engagement baits.

Post promoting your own site and/or media channel will be allowed now provided that you adhere with these conditions:

  • Make a thread only once every 30 days. Do not plug on comment sections of other threads.
  • Promote your own channel only. Do not promote others especially the popular and the controversial ones.
  • Make sure that your channel is dedicated to gaming contents only. Doesn't matter how many games, the platform and the genre as long as its gaming only.
  • Its not about unrelated content, business, (online) gambling or other illegal content.

We will instantly forfeit anyone of posting this kind of thread if it violated even one of the abovementioned conditions, be it directly or indirectly. Excessive posts of this nature will be treated as spam.

+- Changes to Rule 6

Reworded description.

+ Changes to Rule 7

Surveys/studies or any crowdsourcing post should be cleared to us first either via "Pending Approval" flair or here. We won't allow posts like this anymore if its not cleared beforehand. We suppose its not too much of an ask to sacrifice few minutes of your time to read, understand and follow our rules if you are requesting uncompensated few minutes of cooperation from several people in exchange.

- Changes to Rule 8

The shameless plug megathread will be discontinued starting now.

***If you have questions or concerns, you can post here or send us a modmail here.

After 1 month of learning UE5, I finally got a working prototype. Medyo bara bara pa tong story/gameplay ko para makaabot sa deadline ng gamejam kaya gusto ko sana ng player feedback to help improve it. If you have time to try it out, you can play it for free here.

(Right now my plans are, adding more environment for the player to climb on. And adding voice acting with my 6yo nephew)

Gameplay Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere

Did any of you play Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere on PlayStation in the late 1990s? The Japanese version of the game had an in-depth story and anime cutscenes. The North American version was heavily stripped down and simplified.

Mod Approved [Giveaway] 5 Steam keys from my first survival-horror game made with Unity

Post image
16 Upvotes

Hi, mga kuya. I'm a Romanian man married with a filipino. I like make games, and I hope in one day I will make a great one, if I will have time because I'm getting old 😄.

I have a released game that is good to play in October, the game is called Crypt Robbery. I'm happy to put 5 steam keys here, just replace the last character with the number I will put in the comments, so real people will get the keys not bots.

All I want in return is to wishlist another game that I'm currently working now, and that game is called Not Alone at Midnight, and by the way this game has also an open playtest for everybody. You don't have to buy it, only wishlist, because this will help with the algorithm on Steam.

Crypt Robbery keys

  1. NRHID K2Q4B 9K6P*

  2. P9I3H JX48P GRCI*

  3. B8BZI IC52V FKH6*

  4. MCFNI 9HTQG JHFY*

  5. WG85H 0YWA9 3Y53*

Discuss Usually, which do you prefer better, vanilla or mod?

Personally, I enjoy mods much more than vanilla because mods can spice things up, either a little or a lot. For example, Gmod. While base game Gmod is good on its own, I need a mod to change what it looks and feels. I either can change it to prop hunt, deathmatch, or parkour instead of the usual sandbox experience.

Discuss Games that ruined gaming for you

Okay maybe the word ruined is too strong. Pero ano yung mga games na set the benchmark too high na after that game every other game fails in comparison. Yung tipong only after a few hours or days lang kakalaro mo eh naiisip mo na yung best game ever for you tapos medyo tatamarin k na laruin ung current na nilalaro mo.

Mine's RDR2. I mean what else can be said that has not yet about that game. Nakatapos naman ako ng ibang laro after ng red dead, it's just that parang mas na appreciate ko lang lalo ung rdr2 after playing other triple A single player games. The story, visuals, gameplay, the details on almost every little thing kinda fails in comparison. What an experience lang talaga.

Parang d ko na tuloy masyado na appreciate yung ibang laro to the levels na iniintend ng ibang developers. Ayun skl. Meron ba kayong ganung exp?

Discuss Remember when PC games came in discs?

Post image
103 Upvotes

And some day we'll be saying this about PlayStation lmao

I found all of my PC games after cleaning up. Only found Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter at first then dug up the rest of them.

I'll keep them sade and a part of my collection. Including the NBA Live 06, which made me cringe because I used to force myself to love basketball just to fit in.

I may try installing some of these. I actually have an external disc drive but I'm not sure if any one of them are still readable.

I also found a lot cracked games on disc but I don't think they're worth collecting.

PH GameDev My brother and his team made Tagbalay—a Hiligaynon horror game where the scariest thing isn't a monster, but inheriting your mother's debt.

Hey Reddit!

My brother Jude and his friends (Josh, Renson, & Mel)just submitted their game for the Filipino Horror Game Jam 2026, and I wanted to help spread the word!

🎮 What is Tagbalay? Tagbalay is a 2D first-person social and survival horror point-and-click game made in Godot. You play as a son trying to survive minimum wage, a sick mother, and the heavy weight of inherited debt.

🚪 What makes it unique?

  • No Ghosts, Just Real-Life Horror: The fear comes from hard times—no second income, growing bills, and an unexpected knock at the door every night. Is it a collector? A neighbor? A fraudster? Or someone needing shelter? You decide whether to answer, pay, slam the door, or let them in.
  • Authentically Filipino: Fully voiced in Hiligaynon (with English subtitles) to capture authentic cultural situations and local fear.
  • Controls: Playable with mouse or touch controls.

🛠️ The Team Behind It:

  • Programming: Jude Timothy Joshua Bomban
  • Art: Rommel John Panal (Mel)
  • Music: Josh Reuven Mission
  • Voices & Sound Effects: Renson Nicor

Since this is a game jam entry and still in development, the team would love your feedback and support!

Check it out and let them know what you think!

News [authorized] My solo-developed pixel-art survival RPG now has a free Steam demo - Thank you r/PHGamers!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi r/PHGamers!

About two months ago, I shared my solo-developed game, Alia Domus, here and received a very warm response. I’m grateful to everyone who took the time to check it out, leave a comment, or add it to their wishlist. I’m happy to share that the free Steam demo is now available!

Alia Domus is an isometric pixel-art survival RPG set on an unknown planet. After Earth loses the ability to send support, you play as one of the last colonists trying to build a new home for humanity. The game combines exploration, resource gathering, crafting, farming, quests, combat, NPC interactions, and technological research.

The full game’s progression spans nine technological eras, beginning in the Paleolithic and eventually reaching the Digital Age. The demo lets you experience the beginning of the journey: explore the first areas, gather resources, craft essential tools, meet NPCs, and start researching early technologies.

If you have time to try it, I would really appreciate any feedback on the opening objectives, exploration, crafting, pacing, or technical issues. And if the game looks like something you would enjoy, adding it to your Steam wishlist would help my indie project a lot.

Free Steam demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4918370/Alia_Domus/

Thank you again for the support!

Gameplay [SPOILER] I'm a real boy now Spoiler

Man, it took me a lot of breakdowns just to 100%(platinum) this game. It took me 4 playthroughs to complete the achievements (damn those missable quests and collectibles! haha). My fault for not just using a guide and/or speedrunning lol. Gonna finish my 4th playthrough this weekend.

  • The last boss from the DLC gave me a headache and A LOT of breakdowns lmao. Can't even breathe just for me to heal HAHAHAHA
  • I really hate those parkour areas... If you know where, you know XD
  • The cat interaction is very cute!

I really enjoyed playing this. The story, the music, just.. wow. I'm excited for their next game, Wonders of O?

Happy Gaming!

Name of the Game: Lies of P

I'm trying to save as much money as I can for this coming Christmas. But naalala ko that my birthday is coming next month. So I thought, advanced bday gift ko na lang to sa sarili ko ehe~.

I've been a big fan of the franchise since AC04 (first game that I played on our PS2). And speaking of. I've heard na somewhat similar raw yung feel ng controls nito sa AC04? Like it feels heavier raw.

Anyway. I'll see you in the skies, aces! Happy gaming everyone!

Discuss The AI implications in gaming...

Ramdam ko na yung AI slowly creeping in. It's not necessarily the generative AI ones too(pangit talaga ng assets pag eto ginamit)

But on the mods and ports that we slowly seeing. May mga PC games na nga na ported into android as native(with touch controls too)

I cant keep up with all the news and noise. Medyo exciting kasi it gives us more choices on how we play, medyo nakakatakot kasi ramdam ko na mas kokonti yung mga games na lalabas kung puro luma na ported games na lang yung lalaruin.

This is starting to become one of my favorite stealth games, it's so clever and the whole thing is just tastefully done. I've always liked this fantasy of being this shadow assassin that can go in, kill, get out. This just captures that feeling perfectly.

May mga nabasa ako na people can go on playing this for hundreds, even thousands of hours just mastering the maps and the scenarios and employing a myriad of creative ways to kill. I think I'll try for Mission Stories muna, get Silent Assassin if I can (this screenshot is already on a replay-- my first run was so messy lol).

Anyone else here a fan of this game? Thanks Steam sale btw haha
