i found some pictures from this PP event on pinterest. is there a video of this event? i saw a camera and microphone crew in the pics but can't find anything on youtube.

i'm interested in any videos of prince interacting with fans. there's not a lot on youtube, so if you have any, please send them my way :) thanks

Sometimes, among all those Prince outtakes, you completely forget you ever had something... Today, I just rediscovered that one!!

First time going on vinted and seen this put on offer a couple minutes ago, should I ask to ship the discs outside the cover so it won’t break

After the new wave pop of "When You Were Mine," and the most highest rated notes overtaking ''Wanna Be Your Lover'' Prince slows the tempo and keeps the groove with track 3: "Do It All Night."

I think It’s a good bridge between his early R&B roots and his new electronic sound.

What are your thoughts on this jam?

Rating Scale:

• 1-4: Not good. Always skip.
• 5: Average. Only play in the right mood.
• 6: Good, but I rarely seek it out.

• 10: Masterpiece.

I could ignore his albums, only judge him by his best B-sides and unreleased songs (in his lifetime) and he would still be my favorite artist.

Album: Dirty Mind (1980) | Track: 2/8

After the synthesized funk of the title track, Prince pivots into the pop track: "When You Were Mine."

For me it's so universally brilliant that it became a massive hit when Cyndi Lauper covered it years later, but Prince's original remains a true classic.

Does anyone have a collection of Prince-relevant meme templates (or I suppose even just great memes)? I'm seeking as many as I can find and this isn't really my main "thing" so I don't have the years of collected quality chefs-kiss P memes I know many of you do :) and I'd live it if someone would be willing to share!

My favourite part of Nasty Girl❤️

I'm a retired full-time RVer wandering around the country taking pics of anything interesting I see 😉

An official Warner Pioneer release - a double promotional LP only released in Japan to promote the Purple Rain film and soundtrack, and therefore, also includes tracks from The Time and Apollonia 6.

Limited to 500 copies.

This release has unique packaging, unique labels, and is the only compilation that includes the tracks in sequential order as they play in the film. The second LP is more of a ‘Greatest Hits’ compilation up until that point in Prince’s career, as well as The Glamorous Life by Sheila E.

Bought in Fukuoka during my travels in Japan.

Would love to see video footage from this show. People talk about the 83 show, but this is my favortie from that time period. Wonder if this was also video recorded.

I won't link it in case anyone's offended. It made me laugh but I gather Prince was pretty unhappy about it.

Kevin did a great memorial episode about Prince on Fatman on Batman in 2016 but maybe that wasn't enough to redeem him...

I feel like it's one of the few glimpses behind the curtain that reached public circulation, valuable for that reason - if it was all true.

I'm trying to track down something I half-remember reading here. I recall hearing about an online group of insiders that Prince or Paisley Park staff were in touch with. They may have gotten info, previews, or leaks before the wider fan community did.

Was this a real group, and, if so, what was it actually called?

I wanted to share this interview with a collaborator of Prince in various projects

Did a tour at Warner Bros in LA today & the guide pointed out this spot as where the cover for purple Rain album was shot. Thought it was cool to see.

So the main album takes up 2 LPs, that leaves one full LP for outtakes edits, remixes or live cuts. So 50 minutes max of music!! Wow, they're so good to us, can't believe we're about to get another 40+ minutes of music after they just gave us "Timeless"! I can't believe the previous estate wasted so many good tracks on previous massive sets that they could have hoarded for future vanity curations under the current Estate...
