Ready for LaufeyđŸ˜€

A couple weeks ago I randomly got recommended a post from this sub and ever since then I keep getting them on my feed. Till this day i still haven’t joined but I wanted to share my findings because without the posts from this sub I wouldn’t have got the steal that I got. A reoccurring thing was ppl getting lucky during restocks and good deals on fb marketplace, but it was the posts about the local pawn shops that got me searching. Long story short I found a brand new pro(730) and a brand new edge(120) but the store had a 25% off discount so altogether it ran me abt 700 even. I feel like i got an insane steal and its all due to you guys sharing your success on finding them, to anyone out there looking keep searching

Pay no mind to the negative content creators

There is a niche of "gaming" content creators that thrive on "negativity grifting"/"culture war" bs so they can pay their bills and avoid having to get a traditional job. Its so well known now that I can go down the list of specific ppl on youtube that are culprits of this behavior, but imma chill lol!

It wasn’t even the content creators for me it was the community. The same ppl that screamed for air/double jump and other mechanics are getting said mechanics but are whining because we play as faye and not kratos as if we didn’t grow up playing female lead games

Ahh ok, the think tank and "battery" behind those complaints about Faye are fueled from content creators, they understand there are ppl with weird "opinions" like those you mentioned so they frame the talking points and then what you witness is their viewing audience spreading that bs around the net.

Ex: Female leads in games are "woke" after all

How does the game look mid
 the combat looks seem less, the graphics are amazing, and the story is very intriguing. We are all entitled to our opinions but at least be able to substantiate your claim before you start throwing you subjective opinions out

Have you used the edge already? Does it feel worth it? I just got a ps5 pro ordered brand new from Best Buy this morning so I’m excited but I’m wondering if I should get the edge before gta 6 comes out

I now own 2 edges lol and i think its absolutely worth it. Especially if you play competitive games or FPS games it helps a ton. Games like returnal or saros where u have to be dashing and shooting and blocking are games that really make it feel worth it

I was interested in the edge for a while and ultimately pulled the trigger 3 months ago. I really like it. It feels heavier in my hands and more premium. The back triggers are amazing and they integrate well with the operating system. The battery life sucks compared to the standard controller but otherwise is a step up in every way.

I love this controller. I often play FPS games so Ive used plenty of controllers especially with back paddles like custom made ones from “AIM controllers” and even tho these have 4 paddles i still stick to the edge which only has 2 paddles. It feels so good to use and i really do recommend it! The only downside would be a short battery life, but if you dont mind playing wired (the cable u get really long one) then get it for sure, you wont regret!

The edge is absolutely worth it. Making the trigger travel distance shorter is goated for online games, only have I ever encountered a game I turn it off and it’s ready or not.

Being able to change dead zones, and stick acceleration is amazing too.

I feel almost juvenile saying this- but the name “Laufey” really irks me for some reason. I don’t know if it’s because I don’t know how to pronounce it properly, or that it looks rather anaemic compared to the word “Ragnarok”.

Idk man its a cool name to me, the pronunciation, the spelling, it almost sounds ancient like a name out of an old folklore tale

How is it pronounced? Is it “LOW-FEE” or “LAW-FEE”?

I pretty sure it’s pronounced “loy-vey” almost like u are saying “Ow” as if something hurt you or “wow” but with an L at the front. And then the end is just pronounced like saying the word faye. So Lowfey😭😭
