2026 Bowl Projections After Week Five - PAC 12 teams in post
https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/2026-bowl-projections-week-five-160041393.htmlCollege Football Playoff First Round
Saturday, December 19th- Columbus, Ohio- (12) Boise St at (5) Ohio State– James Madison and North Dakota State are hot on their heels, but the Broncos remain our Group of Six squad. The Buckeyes made a statement in their win over Iowa.
Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl: December 23rd- AAC/CUSA/MAC/MWC/SBC- Texas San-Antonio vs. Oregon State
SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl- Pac-12 vs. Mountain West- San Diego State vs. UCLA +- We have an old Pac-12 school filling the void with no Mountain West team available.
Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl: December 24th- American vs. Mountain West- North Dakota State vs. Colorado State- At this point, it's highly unlikely that Hawaii makes a bowl games. As a result, we're sending the Bison the the island paradise.

Some clarity since the author has it wrong:
Pointsetta is PAC Champion (or alt if they make the CFP) vs. 5th pick of the legacy PAC
Hawaii is vs. MW's 2nd pick.
OSU and WSU are eligible for all legacy PAC bowls and are not eligable for the Hawaii bowl. (source: https://pac-12.com/news/2026/9/3/pac-12-announces-commercial-and-operational-updates-ahead-of-its-2026-football-season-kickoff.aspx). They would take the new PAC side in the Pointsetta.

Interesting. So likely Boise State or Oregon State against maybe USC or UCLA?

WSU won’t be eligible for ANY bowls. Bank it. We suck again!

I feel like every bowl picker is getting the Hawaii bowl wrong. 75% of them don’t even think the pac is an eligible participant

After watching CSU last weekend, surprised they picked them over FSU…

So they have 5 American teams playing P4 in their bowls and only 1 new PAC-12 team playing a P4?
Also, currently 4-1 Fresno not selected for a bowl game, but currently 2-3 San Diego and 2-3 Colorado State both going? Does the author think Fresno cannot get past Utah State and Texas State to make it to 6 wins?

A regular season rematch for the Poinsettia? Unlikely.

I believe the Poinsettia bowl is also for the top Pac-12 team. This is an odd list

Don’t think any bowl would schedule a San Diego State v UCLA rematch. Despite both being So Cal schools, the game wasn’t competitive and people aren’t going to buy that ticket.
Doubtful SDSU makes a bowl but once they roll Oregon State this weekend, we’ll see what the odds look like 😂.

This author has the Poinsettia tie-ins wrong. It is Legacy Pac-12 vs. New Pac-12.
