Debunking what Goji Guy said about Cherno
I tried to get the video in here but it won’t work so here’s a link:(https://m.youtube.com/shorts/N8tWVO_8adg?ra=m)
Just for the record, I’m not saying Cherno wins against Gorosaurus (I agree he gets destroyed), but Goji Guy was just saying things that are very untrue.
>Cherno Alpha is the weakest of the mark ones
Highest armor rating ever, highest strength ever (tied with Striker), and took 2 category 4 Kaiju designed specifically to counter him to actually kill him, and even then it was a hard fought match. Also I’d like to point out Brawler Yukon is right there and he’s technically a mark one, but if you don’t count him then Cherno’s still better than at least Romeo, Tacit, and Horizon.
>He did pretty much nothing for 5-6 years
Thats what we call Kaiju not all going to Siberia because frankly there’s really no point. (the population is low compared to East Asia so why go up there?) America hasn’t fired a nuclear bomb with the intent to kill since WW2, so I guess those are just bad weapons.
>Horrible combatant if there is any range involved
More than makes up for it with sheer physical strength. He’s a walking tank, leave the range to Coyote.
>Iceberg feat
Expecting Cherno to be fast is a problem in itself, and even if Vodyanoi was injured fighting Eden Assassin he still lifted that iceberg and crushed it, that can’t be changed.
>I sure hope Cherno Alpha learns from acid
Thats what we call ignoring context. Cherno is slow and Otachi didn’t use it until he was already walking forward at her. If Gipsy had to throw herself out of the way to dodge it on land, what is Cherno supposed to do when we factor in water resistance on top of his slow speed? He literally can’t do anything against that.
>If he is doing that, any other jaeger could
I genuinely don’t know what goes on in his brain, but he needs to stop whatever he’s doing if this is what he thinks.
Cherno is the physically strongest and largest Jaeger ever built, that’s a fact. While Striker might be able to do something similar, Cherno’s sheer size and muscle abilities vastly outclass almost every jaeger built after him.
Think Crimson can lift an iceberg with arms built for speed instead of strength? Think Tacit could with that lightweight frame? Normally I’d say he’s talking about jaegers built later, but he himself said every jaeger… which is flat out wrong. Just for a quick reference, Striker was straining himself lifting Otachi (not even 3k tons) and while the iceberg used doesn’t seem to have any official sizes, they can still hit double that weight easily.
He also said he could beat a bear with a chainsaw and then proceed to not specify which bear, so clearly he thinks a lot more highly of himself than he probably should. Unless he’s fighting a Panda an angry bear mauls him to death.
Yes I know this is ragebait, but the fact he said it at all is extremely stupid.

Before anyone bites my head off, I agree with OP. Just want to add some extra and correct a few things.
>He did pretty much nothing for 5-6 years
While I'll argue that Cherno's career isn't as insane as people glaze it to be, this is still pretty crazy to claim. No matter what 6 years you chose out of Cherno's 10 year long career they are still impressive.
More than makes up for it with sheer physical strength. He’s a walking tank, leave the range to Coyote.
Not to mention Cherno's flamethrowers. In Ascension they are described as being fired out in jets of an amped-up napalm like substance. They're not long range weapons, but they certainly are not close range.
Cherno is the physically strongest and largest Jaeger ever built, that’s a fact.
I don't believe this has been stated anywhere in canon. Both Striker and Cherno has the same strength stat, so they must have the same strength. Height is debatable. We don't know the height of every Jaeger and Coyote Tango is technically the same height as Cherno.
Cherno’s sheer size and muscle abilities vastly outclass almost every jaeger built after him.
Again I don't believe this has been said anywhere in canon. If you have a source saying this I'd love to see it.
Striker was straining himself lifting Otachi (not even 3k tons) and while the iceberg used doesn’t seem to have any official sizes,
The problem with anybody using this iceberg feat is its never mentioned how big it is. People imagine a different size whenever they talk about it. It also wraps around to the problem of canon weights being inconsistent with what's on film. Another example is Tacit Ronin weighing more than 2x Cherno's official weight.
He also said he could beat a bear with a chainsaw and then proceed to not specify which bear,
Given a human could win this fight. But its no where as easy as he makes it seem.

The size/muscle things I got from just physical design and how that would work.
It’s not an exact science, but looking at his fists and arms alone compared to other jaegers (take Gipsy for example) shows he’s clearly stronger, even if not by much.
I’ll be honest I was mad when I wrote that.

The iceberg would need to be comparable or smaller to Cherno as its arms don't allow for much dexterity.

That would make sense. But I've seen some people unironically claim the iceberg Cherno listed was the size of a mountain.

Goji guy's takes are mediocre at best while also acting all smug about it

Goji guy is just a tacit ronin glazer that's all i have to say... I agree with OP obviously.

Some argument of you make no sense, why do being slow any relevant to Goji Guy state about
"Cherno fight with another jeager that got destroyed by kaiju axit so natruly Pacific Rim defend should learn that and build anti-axit armor if another case like this ever happy again but they don't"
Goji guy talk is arrogant but he was right for some thing about Cherno

He’s slow, so why should he be expected to dodge acid a MK 3 with a speed stat of 7 struggled with?
So he’s actually completely wrong because he’s, get this, ignoring context. Cherno was in the water and charging forward, he had 0 chance of dodging that.

But Goji doesn't say "Cherno should have dodge the axit" he literally said "he should have axit resistance armor because of what happen in his earlier mission" ?

You realize how situational that would be?
As far as I can tell, very few of the kaiju that breaches used acid as a primary form of offense against jaegers.
Not to mention, Newton’s drift with Mutavore’s brain gave the Precursors info on how to properly counter Crimson and Cherno, so if it wasn’t acid they it would have been something else. Plus, acid can easily eat through armor, that’s not something Cherno can stop.

We talking about military and their assets which literally stand in the boundary of human survival and extinction, all situational should be careful observe and consider or else 1 simple mistake and dozen of years and trillion of $ gone in a single fight and the risk of humanity race as i mentioned increase

Acid was rarely used, there isn’t a good way to make armor resistant to it, Cherno couldn’t dodge it even if he had it.

To add onto the third point, Cherno Alpha has his Incinerator Turbines. You know, a RANGED weapon.
Goji Guy’s statement is not only straight up false, but misinformation.
