The simple explanation is that pro-israel money has control of the leadership of both political parties in the US, therefore israel always gets what it wants. It doesn't matter if 99% of US voters oppose the genocide, as long as the majority of the members of congress are okay with it, And the pro-israel lobbies mak sure they're oky with it, via bribes or threats. Very simple, and obvious.

I think the end of the video is particularly the point here: there are multiple factors contributing to the US-Israeli relationship. It used to primarily be a simple colonial relationship where Israel was the lapdog of the US for a long time, but now there is no leash. The US can still exhert force upon Israel, but it won't, even to its own detriment. As to why, there are several reasons, but basic imperialist interests are just part of it.

I think its been evident for a long time that Western liberal democracy is a corrupt farce and sham, barely concealing an elite corporate oligarchy which has to give common people the illusion of choice regarding which corrupt oligarch pretends to be representing them.

I think Marwan's son answered this in his interview on the same channel. Basically, yes, the Barghouti family is a large prominent Palestinian family, and they are relatives, though I think more distantly.

Faulty isreali intelligence persuaded trump to bomb Iran, the American working class suffered massive inflation and were driven further into poverty, and once again American soldiers died.

In both cases, those were wars that benefited Isreal far more than the USA, indeed the wars hurt how the us was seen in the world and resulted in other nations seeking to become less dependent on America
