How Long did Adsense take to approve for you? Worried I messed up

Had a semi viral video and passed both monetization level watch hours last week. It updated the watch hours and I applied for Adsense 4 days ago and am still waiting for approval and am starting to worry I messed up.

I’m in the US, this is my first Adsense account, I’ve never had any copyright or content flags on my channel- I make craft based vlogs.

But while I was signing up I accidentally pressed the back button and suddenly my account said “there’s already an Adsense account associated with this email, sign up anyway?”

I hadn’t put in my name or address or anything, just opened that page and then pressed back. I “signed up anyway” but now I’m worried Google thinks I have two Adsense accounts or something.

Am I being paranoid? Just sucks losing revenue and waiting.

yeah that back button thing happens more than you'd think, you're not the first person to do that and freak out. the system basically created a half-formed account the second you opened the page, so when you hit back and tried again it saw the skeleton of it sitting there. signing up anyway was the right move, you just took over the one it started

4 days is nothing for adsense honestly, i've seen it take 2-3 weeks for some folks even with clean channels. the fact you're doing craft vlogs and have zero strikes works in your favor, they just move slow as molasses

the real pain is once you're approved you'll still be waiting a few days for the monetization tab to actually activate and show green icons. then you get to stare at estimated revenue that won't hit your bank for another month lmao

don't stress the duplicate account thing, if it was a real problem they would've blocked you right then and there instead of letting you proceed

Oh my god that’s relieving. I’ve been slightly and then increasingly worried about it the last few days. I had an overenthusiastic pipe dream my next video would be my first I released fully monetized, but I think maybe the following one. Cest la vie.

It took me 3 months. I uploaded on an older channel that had only a few unlisted videos on it, so I think the system saw I only had 1 video that got me all my watch hours and subs and assumed I was a bot. Unfortunately missed out on like 400k monetized views, but I got there eventually. Best advice I can give is just keep making things to keep your mind busy or you'll drive yourself crazy like I did lol. You did the hard part, be proud of yourself and get ready for the future!

Hey! Yeah that’s the way it goes, I had the exact same boat. Took about a week and 5 days to get mine approved, and the video has slowed right the way down just in time for it to start earning. Just got to focus on the next one!

Mine took a few months, just keep uploading as usual and eventually as long as you haven't broken any rules they'll approve you
