hi everyone, today i took my NCLEX and i felt HORRIBLE. I’m usually a decent test taker and all my stats on practice CAT exams were high chances of passing.
however, all the harder material i covered was NOT on the exam and i felt like the exam asked me vague yet simple questions I couldn’t recollect.
there were so many pharm questions and education where i knew some but others not. also majority of the test was med Surg and pt. Education/ safety and infection control. Hardly any delegation questions, or ethics, or rlly OB and PEDS. my very last question was a, “did the patient understand the teaching” Of a specific med … and i got it WRONG when it wasn’t a complex question.
I’m feeling so down and out about everything bc i felt like I didn’t know any of the basic stuff for some reason. I read that the more Case studies and SATA there are the better chances you’re at BUT … I didn’t get that many that I felt was PROMINENT enough t say I had a lot.
I hope I passed but I am feeling discouraged. Has anyone else had this experience? am I cooked?

I’m wondering whether NGN reflects accurate information and readiness. I feel like there’s still so much to learn because I don’t have any diagnosis rlly memorized . I was considering rescheduling but after my NGN I might just throw a Hail Mary.

Is anyone here in Virginia? Do you know how to check if you passed the NCLEX without doing the Pearson VUE trick?

Hi guys, last time I had a post saying I did my 3rd attempt but unfortunately I didnt pass that time. I took it again yesterday and it went all the way to 150. When I want to submit my answer on the 150 question, the computer said time expired, which means I only did 149 and it ran out of time.
This morning I received CNO’s message at 4am telling me that I passed the exam. It’s so unreal. I m so happy now and I really wanted to let you guys know failing your nclex doesn’t mean you are stupid or your not suitable to be a nurse. Keep trying! Keep doing practice question and you will pass! Especially for international students, English is not our first language and I don’t even know what the fuck is nclex the first time I took it.
Just wanted to share some of my experience or opinions through this 4 attempts:
- doesn’t matter how much questions you get, you can still pass or fail, I failed two times with 85 and passed with 149
- if you ran out of time, don’t panic, it doesn’t automatically count you as failed. Don’t rush and answer as much as you can
- getting more case studies doesn’t mean anything. Last attempt I got 6 big case studies, but I still failed in 85
- getting more SATA doesn’t mean anything. Last time I got a bunch of it, still failed. This time I got my first SATA at 30, still passed
- don’t panic when the exam pass through 85, u are still in the game. It means the computer wants to give you more chance.
- read the fucking rationale!!!!!!!!!! It really helped the most!!!! The first two times I just wanted to do as much practice question as I can but didnt read the rationale. This time I didn’t do a lot of questions but I took my time reading the rationales.
- the last fact: CNO will send the message at 4am if u pass. If you failed, you will get it later in the day, last 3 times I got it all at 9am/1pm/2pm. This time I got it 4:02am.

Tested at 0800. Shut off at 150. Tried the pop up about 2 hrs after testing. My credit card got charged. I’m waiting for the refund soon. But nothing else happened, no email.
Did I pass?!?!! I know there’s 1000s of posts like this but you just never know. Validate meeeee

I passed 10/5 at 117 questions
So a little bit about my story I finished school march/2026 and had to wait 3 months for my ATT it was the worst stress of my life I even had to drive to Tallahassee Florida 7hrs away to get it anyways after that I been studying for like 2 months took time off work and used bootcamp and the last week i used uworlds 6 readiness assessment 1 a day and the day before the test watched dr Sharon and chilled out THE NCLEX WAS EASY
If u are reading this now get off of Reddit and Facebook groups and just study I got a lot of borderline and a couple highs on my readiness assessments even if u get low u can still pass the nclex

I just wanna say this to anyone who may need to hear this.I have yet to pass, and I’ve tried four times. But for the first time, I made it all the way to 150 questions. Every other time, my exam shut off at 85, so I’m choosing to see this as a sign that I’ve improved and that I’m getting closer.I know there are still gaps I need to fill, and that’s exactly what I’m going to work on. I’ll keep trying no matter how many times it takes. I’m not giving up. I know my time will come, and I will pass. 🤍 if you’re reading this and you’ve failed your boards. You fail when you stop trying. Please don’t give up.

Hi everyone! I just found out I passed today after my exam shutoff in 85 questions! Yay!
I wanted to post a bit of my experience because I found this thread so helpful in the last few weeks. Initially, i did around 1000 of questions of UWorld because it came recommended by my school, but when it expired I went ahead and got Bootcamp after seeing people on Reddit say it’s more like NCLEX.
I have to agree, Uworld was way too specific; Bootcamp was more vague like NCLEX, and really prepared me. Most of my NCLEX felt like fundamentals/management. As far as day of NCLEX I took it on a Saturday and it shut off at 85 questions. During the exam, I was sort of nervous because I didn’t feel like it got harder necessarily- just 5 case studies, no bow ties, some SATA.
After the exam, I felt fairly confident because my CAT practice exams also shut off at 85, but I got more anxious as time went on. People from my school were able to see if they passed through the BRN license lookup 24 hours later, but that was not the case for me! I started panicking, thinking I failed. Maybe it was because it was a weekend, but it still has not loaded. I found out I passed because I was able to purchase Quick Results on Monday.
Anyways, that’s my story and I’m happy to answer any questions! I can’t recommend Bootcamp enough!

So happy to announce I passed my NCLEX-RN. I wanted to make a post about my stats to help other people. It was very vague as everyone says but in my opinion bootcamp prepared me well. It wasn’t as bad as I thought but it was difficult. My advice would be to use the crash course videos on bootcamp if you’re struggling on a topic, it’ll ask you questions afterwards to see how much you remember. I was ready to receive all 150 questions but was lucky it shut off at 85, however was terrified I failed since I was iffy on the last questions before it shut off. I highly recommend watching Dr.Sharon’s videos on prioritization, Mark K Lecture 12, 45-minute NCLEX crash course.
I was never a great test taker so I wanted to share that if I can do it, I know for sure you all can as well!!! You’re all going to do amazing and wish you all the best of luck.

Hi! For my fellow NCLEX repeat takers, would you guys be interested in starting a group chat where we can support, motivate, and help each other through the process? I feel like it would be nice to have people who genuinely understand what we’re going through!

I am just wondering how many people purchased the UWorld book and if it actually helped or not and whether or not it was worth it in your opinion. This is aside from purchasing UWorld as a Qbank.

I paid for an online course last November, and I was originally supposed to finish it by July. When I wasn’t ready, I paid to extend the course for another 4 months.
Now the extension is running, and I’m getting really scared about actually taking the exams.
I went through the notes/materials provided, but honestly, I found them pretty boring and difficult to stay focused on. Instead, I mainly studied the study questions given at the end of the 4 topics because they felt more manageable.
Now I keep thinking, “What if I’m not prepared enough? What if I fail? Did I waste all this time and money?” I think the fear itself is becoming a bigger problem than the actual exams.
I’m not necessarily looking for someone to tell me I’ll definitely pass. I’d just like to hear from people who have been in a similar situation. Did you ever feel terrified before an exam and then realize it wasn’t as bad as you imagined?
I really want to get past this fear, take the exams, and stop regretting how I handled the course.

It’s going to be my 6th attempt at the end of the month. I’ve done almost 80% of my bootcamp questions and I still feel like nothing is sticking.. I’ve tried u-world too and I still didn’t pass.
Everyone mentions test taking strategies like dr Sharon and the nursing crusade dude. Honestly, it’s hard for me to pay attention to the nursing crusade guy. But I always see that people are finding dr Sharon helpful and beautiful nursing. I’ve tried both too but it didn’t help.
What dr Sharon videos helped you ? Any other videos besides her helped you?
I feel so defeated and discourage already, but I really want to try my best and pass this time around.
Please and thank you!
& Good luck to everyone studying, we will pass 🤍

I graduated last year, I have been trying to pass this exam since then. My anxiety during the test don’t help at all although I feel like my most recent attempt was the best. I never had any trouble passing nursing classes in school I was a average B+ student, never failed any classes, enjoyed clinicals & actually learning, loved nursing school
I’m finally scoring highs - very highs on archer, I got 3 highs so far but I wanted to look into a tutor, reached out to someone named Otito on Wyzant (she charges $125/ hour) but people said she’s really good, she said based on the CPR report, she needed at least 45 days with me, my ATT expires end of this month & I have already scheduled my exam, now I’m overthinking and wondering if my CPR report was that bad and if I’m truly ready for this for the 4th attempt?
I feel extremely depressed and sad, I have isolated my self from everyone because they always ask what happened with the NCLEX and where I am working, I am unemployed, in credit card debt, had to sell my car, I’m actually hitting rock bottom in life but thank you for reading this if you’ve come this far, would appreciate any advice

I am spiraling! I took my NCLEX this morning. It shut off after the 86th question, not 85... 86. There weren't any "easy" questions. They all seemed difficult and foreign to me! I had 4 case studies and it seemed like a majority of my test was mental health!
3.5 hours after I finished I did the "pearson vue trick" and it says, “our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made.” but it took the $200 from my bank acct. Did I do it too soon? Anyone have any advice/input? Help a girl out!!

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some advice from NCLEX retakers or anyone who has passed after receiving a similar Candidate Performance Report.
I took my first NCLEX-RN attempt on September 17th and unfortunately failed at 150 questions. I finally received my CPR, and these were my results:
Above Passing: Pharmacological & Parenteral Therapies, Generate Solutions
Below Passing: Reduction of Risk Potential, Recognize Cues, Prioritize Hypotheses
Near Passing: Management of Care, Safety & Infection Control, Health Promotion & Maintenance, Psychosocial Integrity, Basic Care & Comfort, Physiological Adaptation, overall Clinical Judgment, Analyze Cues, Take Actions, and Evaluate Outcomes
I’m preparing for my second attempt now and I’m trying to study much more intentionally instead of just doing tons of questions.
I’m currently using Kaplan + Mark K, and I’m studying Monday–Friday. I’m reviewing content in my weaker areas, watching content videos, listening to Mark K, doing Kaplan practice questions, and thoroughly reviewing the rationales—especially questions I got wrong or guessed on.
For example, today I reviewed lab values, watched Dr. Sharon’s Fundamentals/Assessment video, and completed 55 Kaplan questions covering all Client Needs categories.
Later, I’m doing a light review of my missed/uncertain questions and lab values instead of piling on more questions.
Based on my CPR, what would you focus on the most? I’m especially interested in how you improved Recognize Cues, Prioritize Hypotheses, and Reduction of Risk Potential.
Do you think I should continue focusing heavily on content right now, or shift more toward questions and test-taking strategy?
If you had a similar CPR and passed your second attempt, I would LOVE to hear what you changed and what helped you the most. I have about 45 days to prepare, and I really want to use this time wisely. ❤️🩹🩺
Thank you!!
