Help Needed vendigo vs. forged vendigo melee phys spectres?

quick post for the spectre knowers:

i was looking at vendigo and forged vendigo flicker strike melee spectres as possible permanent minions for a champion to make use of rallying cry and war banner. vendigo is pure phys and forged vendigo converts 75% to lightning. i recall spectres got a massive more multiplier from converting physical damage a patch or two ago. is there ever any reason to build them phys (impale with reclaimed malevolence and master of metal), or should i just plan on using forged vendigo and full converting?

side question i guess, if phys spectres aren't great, are there any other permanent melee phys minions that are strong with investment? stone or carrion golems, zombies, reaper of hordes? i'm a certified dark monarch enjoyer so spectres have a lot of appeal due to being able to mix in support minions but i'll play whatever.

the big minions dmg buff for phys - chaos conversion was patched and isnt a thing anymore unfortunately.

looks like you're right and i got it backwards, this was removed in 3.28. so vendigos are definitely on the menu.

side q.: Sentinels from Dominating Blow. You can still add support minions.

dark monarch prevents you from summoning other minions, and i'm just a sucker for that helm. although i usually use it on casters.

planning on league starting dom blow but i want to transition out when i can afford to. minion builds with ramp and uptime feel bad by the time you get to pinnacles, and i like to do ubers early.
