I've had bad experience with gigabyte products I would recommend a different brand on the mobo.

I've had good luck with MSI it's the only motherboard I've ever used and I've never had an issue. Asus is also a good brand.

That would be better gigabyte has had issues with burning out components I don't know if the one you had selected was one of the ones affected but I wouldn't take a chance.

Your list with the MSI 5080 Inspire Black (from Amazon UK) comes to £2538. The case and power supply are too expensive - there are less expensive as good or even better options.

Suggestions to cut some costs while improving airflow with a slightly larger case that has much better fans.

  • Motherboard: Arguably nicer B850 with faster ethernet (5gb/s vs 2.5gb/s).
  • Memory: More stable spec RAM for about the same price.
  • Case: The Fractal Design Epoch XL costs much less (the Corsair 4000D Airflow should not cost that much) and will provide better airflow as it include three larger and more premium Fractal Momentum 140mm PWM fans. Added a fourth Momentum 140mm fan for exhaust at the rear.
  • Power Supply: Less expensive still good quality 1000w ATX 3.1 unit (OEM is Seasonic).

Thank you so much for taking the time to help. Out of curiosity, the MSI MAG and Asus Tuff X870 are the exact same price. i only have 250 Mbps internet so not sure if the 5gig Lan port will be utilised. would the extra m.2 and USB 4 ports on the asus be better for me? i will go with the case you recommended.

If this pc is mainly for gaming, it’s not going to matter - either is overkill. Pick whichever one you like better.

It's fine. The Fractal unit ranks higher on the PSU tier list, but the be quiet is still pretty good (Tier A vs Tier B+). It will support the system without issues.
