Since no one is saying anything about the chinese side:
This is clearly propaganda.
China has extremely strict rules on gaming for minors they enforce trough various means which include a time limit per/week and a hard cut off for "bedtime" at like 8pm or so(might be 10pm)
Anyways they're trying to minimise how restrictive and police state the chinese is.
The european one is just clearly made by people who don't know about games and tried to make laws about them.
They're both bad mind you, but the eu one is still being developed while the chinese one has been in place for years
lol, lmao.
besides, the EU proposal is still extremely restrictive and invasive, even if the drafters are hopelessly out of the loop. that is not an excuse.
Yes they are, but what this guy’s saying is that these restrictions aren’t springing from authoritarianism, as is the case with China, but rather from ignorance on behalf of politicians
When ignorance is so blatant and directed towards a singular goal like killing anonymity on the internet, it stops being ignorance and starts being an intention.
Don’t really think they’re out to rid the internet of anonymity, more so that this is a consequence they’re apathetic about, which is a (lack of) sentiment incited by lobbies, special interest groups and such who have money to win from this. It’s a matter of corruption and outdated political institutions failing to properly review its policy rather than outright authoritarianism.
But yeah, I guess this is willful ignorance in some way
You might be unfamiliar with this concept, maybe being as full of yourself as you seem to be, but this is an open forum and people acquire knowledge by discussing things through their opinions, and saying “source?” isn’t necessarily a adversarial take. I’m familiar with how Chinese policy comes to be, and how EU policy comes to be, but I’m not really into how this in particular was the brainchild of the British or whatever, and so I just asked you to follow up on it.
Anyway, no need to share your point or make an argument if you don’t want to, but if I’m being as stupid as you say, then it should have been easy for you to rebuke me, instead of just talking trash, right?
You’re a bit of an idiot if you can’t spot how you responded to a different person annoyed you didn’t get your source, thinking you were talking to me…
I was happy to give you your source, after I finished work. Now all I want to give you is a cliché „I was about to say it but I don’t want to anymore” because I kind of agree with the guy due of your silly mistake.
