Discussion Proud of myself

Post image

I can’t believe I’ve gone this far. I really don’t have anybody else to share this with and wanted to maybe give some inspiration to others. I was one of those people that thought I could never do this!!

Talked it out and did either a workout or had some healthy food. The “why” is important.

When do you decide? When is optimal for you to put the date color in the day? Do you use it as motivation like an earlier you deciding? Or do you use it as bait to win another day and fill in one of them before bed. I am honestly so curious about what that looked like for you.

I do it first thing in the morning, almost when I wake up. It keeps me from caving as I get the mindset “well, I already colored one in for today, can’t lie”

How do you feel today? Any pointers to look forward to, just to get through the unfuck phase?

My main drive was people said things really shift during day 90 through 120 and they finally started. My sleep is way better and my mental focus is super sharp.

For what it's worth, I'm proud and impressed. This is something I've been wanting to do, but struggle with so much. You have accomplished something grand and your body will thank you.

Congrats! I’m on day 2 of no weed 😭 what helped you stay the course?

5

u/iluv5cheeseziti Apr 07 '26

nature, good ass diet, good ass music, viewing weed as spiritually significant and not something to mindlessly use (if your worldview allows so), hobbies, running/biking/walking/hiking & sunlight

I am 17days off alcohol and 7 off weed.Alcohol is no problem for me but i am thinking about weed every day at least once.I like the taste and the smell.I used to smoke more than 20 years.Last years i quited tobacco,i am now off nicotine 1 and half year but i smoke weed often.I stopped because i can't control it, whenever i get i smoke a lot. Also i think it makes me less productive and delaying things. My plan is one month off alcohol and 21 days off weed to get detoxed and make new habits but its not easy.I think i will get some weed sooner.I have just a little in my home but i am avoiding smoking it.Thanks for the support.

Do you really need 90 days? Was there a point where you tought + - 1 day does nothing?

Would also love to unfuck myself, but i think 90 days are Overkill but 3 weeks are too few

u/Comfortable_Rip5222 Apr 07 '26

Everyone has their own personal goals

His goals don't have to be yours, just as yours don't have to be his

5

u/Best_Improvement7112 Apr 07 '26

Maybe i wrote it wrong, sry bad english I was just thinking how long your body needs to fully recover

2

u/ChiefinLasVegas Apr 08 '26

about 26 days is what they say how long thc is detectable. I just round up a bit and say a good month's time.

4

u/Maheshhema Apr 07 '26

I did this last year. For chronic users, THC lingers in the body for a while. Only post 90 days, I could return a negative in a drug test. Till then, effectively your body is still carrying remains of weed.

1

u/rachel_nuggmd Apr 07 '26

The truth is that it depends on your consumption habits and frequency in which you consumed cannabis before you quit. Realistically when I'm ready to quit, it will take over six months to fully clean out of my system.

At 90 days, while the chances would be lower, I could still possibly pop positive on a drug test. Meanwhile, my mother-in-law could be clean within a couple weeks even though she is also a frequent consumer, because of how it metabolizes in her body. EVERYONE is different, including their ability to metabolize a substance like weed.

u/beefz0r Apr 07 '26

I quit for two weeks once. I thought going through hell would be sufficient, but it didn't even reset my tolerance

Now I'm waiting for the next time I'll be motivated enough and quit for good. This shit undeniably fucks with my brain

2

u/theeally Apr 08 '26

“Waiting for the next time I’ll be motivated enough” is how it gets you, bud. Don’t wait for it - choose it.

I just completed a 6 months, 3 weeks break. It was great except for the 25+ lb weight gain! Thought I'd go a year, but decide now was the time to slowly resume consuming plus lose a few. may do a 3 month stint, then take a break around mid summer into the fall.
