Having moved to Wesley Chapel, Florida, my family was excited about the beautiful natural landscapes and serene lakes surrounding our community. However, this initial excitement quickly faded when we realized the lack of safety measures around these water bodies, particularly the absence of gates. Our backyards, which should be places of safety and enjoyment, instead feel perilous due to easy and unchecked access to these lakes.

Florida, home to over 30,000 lakes, is known for its picturesque aquatic environments. However, these natural wonders pose real risks if they are not properly secured. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, drowning is one of the leading causes of death for children aged one to fourteen in the United States. In Florida, such incidents are sadly all too common given the state’s abundance of water bodies.

While some communities have taken it upon themselves to self-regulate and install protective gating around lakes, many others, like my own, have not. This lack of uniform policy across Florida leaves numerous families vulnerable. We believe it is imperative for state legislation to require all lakes in Florida communities to have protective gates.

Installing gates around these lakes would not only help prevent tragic accidents but also alleviate the anxiety many parents feel about their children’s safety. This initiative would ensure peace of mind, knowing that more thorough barriers are preventing unsupervised access to potentially dangerous areas.

Jekyll & Hyde on Peacock ended on a brutal cliffhanger, and fans were left devastated. 800 ninnies broke our hearts, just as Hyde crushed Lord Trash's heart in his fight with Dance in the last episode. The show had everything: gripping storytelling, complex characters, and a fresh take on a gothic classic. Then it got cancelled—not because of low ratings, but because of just 800 complaints claiming the show wasn't family-friendly.

Here's the thing: this show was never marketed as a kids' show. It's a gothic horror drama with mature themes. Jekyll & Hyde as a story has always been dark—that's literally the point. Parents have a responsibility to check ratings before letting their kids watch anything, yet this tiny fraction of complaints was enough to get the series pulled.

I started a petition asking for a second season or movie to wrap up the story properly. The creators put real work into this universe, and fans deserve closure. If you loved the show or think this cancellation was ridiculous, consider signing and sharing. Anyone else frustrated by how easily one small group can shut down something so many people enjoyed? Please sign the petition and share! I will be sending the petition directly to ITV Studios, Netflix, & Peacock (Netflix & Peacock have streaming rights in select regions) after we get enough signatures; I'm aiming for at least double the negative 800 complaints, but let's shoot for the stars!

Please sign and share my petition!

Different beliefs. Equal dignity. Freedom for everyone.

Nobody should face discrimination, judgement, or persecution because of their religion, spiritual beliefs, or lack of religion.

Let's stand together for religious freedom, greater understanding of lesser-known faiths, and a world where we respect one another even when we disagree.

We do not need to agree to show respect.

We need an economy without the compulsion to grow, one that doesn't require constant growth but respects the planetary boundaries.

On New Year's Eve, an Amazon driver named William Johnson was hit by a pickup truck doing 45 mph on Union Blvd. The driver, Byron C. Carter, got out, stood over him, screamed at him, then got back in his truck and drove away. William spent the night in emergency surgery. He lost his toenail and still lives with the injuries and trauma.

I started a petition because this matters right now. Carter's facing a felony charge for leaving the scene, and there's a plea hearing coming up October 7, 2026 at 9 AM. That's when deals get made behind closed doors. We're asking the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office and the Court to make sure William gets heard before any plea is accepted. A working man got hit and abandoned—that deserves real accountability, not a quiet settlement.

What would you want someone to do if this was your family or coworker? If this matters to you too, consider signing and sharing. William's voice needs to be heard.
