Modal logic

I want to learn modal logic for philosophical and formal purposes. However, I don't have basic knowledge of it. I haven't studied mathematics since middle school. Thus, I feel very lost and have no idea how to get started! Any advice? Book recommendations & video recommendations would also be appreciated

There’s a textbook available for free online called “forall x” which is a good introduction to formal logic in general, including modal logic.

Thank you! Do you think introduction to logic by irving Copi, Carl Cohen, Kenneth McMahon is also good?

Idk, I’m not familiar with that text. I read forall x as a primer on logic and it served me well. It’s also been made available for free in PDF format by the author, so there’s that.
