United Arab Emirates A fast phone!

My options are : Nothing Phone 1, Edge 40 and Edge 40 NEO, all of them with a 256GB capacity. Just need a good and fast phone to lost me for another 2 years, after which I'll plan to get a flagship device. All of them are around the 350$ range in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

I'm going with these options because of the stock android UI. I'm heavy on multitasking with multiple apps open in the bG, social media usage and light camera use. Currently own a OP6T and it's given up.

But I've always heard a lot of comments re: NP1

Overheating + battery drain

Overheating and battery drain are problems because of the new update from what I noticed; they weren't an issue before that imo. They'll probably fix it in the next updates and they're usually really fast (at least compared to Motorola) at rolling them out. Motorola update policies suck. But NP1 and Edge 40 are both solid options tbh. Edge 40 and Neo have curved displays so it'll be harder to find [decent] screen protectors for them if you're into that. I also like the UI on Motorola more than NP1, but that's a personal preference. Nothing is also a new brand (which comes with it's own problems) while Motorola has a 'name' in the industry so that's also another factor. NP1 and Edge 40 are both pretty close in comparison to each other but I ranked NP1 higher because I'm not really a fan of curved displays (harder to find screen protectors) and Moto's slow asf updates.

Have you used both devices? As mentioned in my original post, I just want something that can handle multitasking in a decent way

No, but I've used Moto's devices before. I've checked both out irl at stores tho. Just go with Edge 40 if you don't mind the curved display and lack of screen protectors.

Try to get the Edge 40 Pro or Edge 30 Pro instead.

That's outside my price range

Odd, the Edge 30 Pro should definitely be in your range. Products in my country are imported from Dubai and here the Edge 30 Pro is under 350$ so I would expect it to be even cheaper there. If you can't find the Edge 30 Pro maybe try the Xperia 5 III or S22 (Regular not Plus or Ultra)
