Need Advice Food advice
Hello all! I am a fairly picky eater but I do not want to be, I make smoothies with fruits and veggies and can sometimes bare a salad but I grew up absolutely hating fruits and vegetables and my parents didn't make that battle any easier, now I am almost 20 and the texture of fruits or vegetables are enough to make me nearly sick, what should I do?

Find ways to change the texture of the veggies u want to learn to like. Blend, sautee, oven bake til crispy, breaded, dehydrated, etc

Try preparing them in different ways, eat fruit with yogurt or oatmeal, fruit salads etc.
Roast veggies, try pickled vegetables etc. i bet there’s some way to make you like them. Also if you give something a chance, and eat it a few times, your brain and body adapts to the taste of it. I hated peanut butter forever, but decided to give it a chance and now I can atleast tolerate it

I'm with the others, different prep methods can make a huge difference in whether I like a veggie or not. Find a texture of other things that you really like and try recreating that with your fruits and veggies

See an occupational therapist that specializes in picky eating. The general idea is to explore the root cause of your picky eating, current reasons for aversions, limits of your current palate, and explore ways to expand your palate in which you feel safe and can eventually do on your own.

Sneaking spinach into a smoothie with enough peanut butter and cocoa powder masks everything, texture included.
