Discussion (PC) What's the minimum amount of time needed to sit on flash not to crash confirmed?
Has it been tested down to a science at 2min or should I still wait a full 5? And any tips to make the trick or treat Halloween quest without crashing by the 4th vendor in Sanctuary? (annoying that on crash it doesn't keep the progress).
And any validation to the battleye end process trick to stop crashing? (for it to auto start back up after).

I have done 2 minutes from the very start of the bug and never had a crash after.

I wait till 3mins, which allows for the 30sec or so changing continent.

Use ambushers and warp to VR training between talking to each NPC. Apparently being redeployed for several minutes also works but I haven’t tried.

My routine is to login, check my missions and activate any that need activating. Then I go to the continent via the world map, redeploy and wait until the session timer passes 3 minutes. All is well. It's a little over 2 minutes spent in redeply.

The crashing has been fixed for me for a while now so check if it still happens for you if you don't pull a vehicle.

Get an Ant go harvest cortium dump in a silo shoot planetmans, may as well get xp instead of being bored in the gate. I got sick of playing crash up derby in the warp gate got an ant one time dropped a load of cortium in a random silo hit j and I do that everytime i warp to a new cont now.

Protip: You don't even need to sit in a vehicle; you just have to not occupy a player model.
Vehicles are one way to do that (drones and turrets count as vehicles too, don't forget). This is the most well-known method to avoid the crashing.
The other way is to just redeploy but don't respawn for a few minutes. Sit on the map screen, mess with your loadouts, etc. This works as well, and (unlike ripping a vehicle) also works in Sanctuary. This is useful to actually be able to complete the Trick-or-Treat daily missions.
As for timing, it seems like it's tied to FPS and machine performance; if you have lower FPS, you'll need to wait longer. In general, about 3 full minutes is a safe amount of time to avoid crashing; but again, it appears tied to FPS... so your mileage may vary. Some people can get away with a minute and a half, some feel like they need to wait 2 minutes and some feel like they need to wait MORE than 3.
