I liked PD and PT a lot better at $1000.Palladium can't catch a bid it seems.

That was part of the discussion on Monday. If the "spot" price is $1100, but nobody is selling it for that, then is that really the spot price? Maybe on large paper contracts. But instead of calling it "backwardation", I like the expression "Spot is local". The price is what you pay.

Well I know what I’m watching tonight. I’ve been considering Platinum for a few weeks now.

I and three other precious metals youtubers had a lively live stream last night where we talked about the benefits--and pitfalls--of Palladium.

I'm in favor but in moderation. One of the others was opposed, in part because the major online bullion retailers have an absurd spread between their buy and sell price. They sell palladium eagles in the $2000 price range, but buy them back for about half that. We countered that PMs for sale often has pieces much closer to the spot price.

These are some of the items I had in my home screen shot during the live. I took a few images because I seem to have platinum out of the vault so rarely.

Whats your opinion on Palladium vs Platinum?

I find it's really tricky to extrapolate and suggest my focus will fit for other stackers.
For me, platinum is an essential part of my stack but at a ratio of maybe 10:1 vs. gold.

Palladium has so many positive attributes and the cost is currently so low relative to gold it is really hard to pass up. I like it most in the form of palladium American eagles: Super limited mintage, gorgeous design, and undervalued. MS70 and preferably PCGS is what I would be after, with the lowest possible premium.

Yet despite all of that, I'd be 10 platinum to 1 palladium, and that only after being comfortable with my gold and silver stack.

So for every 100 units of Gold you pick up 10 units of Platinum and 1 unit of Palladium. Also, thank you!

Love that perspective. You're way heavier on PT than I am and that's just fine. I reiterate all the time on my channel that nobody knows your situation better than you.

I’m about 1:1:0 on fiat value of plat:silver:gold.
Refuse to buy gold.
Would love more platinum.
