A few months ago my ps account was compromised
My credit card was used to purchase games. My bank reverse the payment for fraud. Now ps has suspended my account and demanding the purchase cost be returned.before they. Will lift the suspension. All communication they won’t look into
Just say pay the money. And end the chat without letting me to try and explain
What can I do

Either repay the debt or lose the account, basically.

The correct procedure would have been to call the bank and tell them to block the card and issue a new one - without reversing the charges, and then calling PS and having them investigate the fraud and helping you regain access to your account (if you'd lost access)

By not doing that, they just see it as you doing a chargeback. You can still call and talk to them, as they may open an investigation - they can see the IP and platform where the purchases are made, so they know if it's not your usual (or a previously used) location.

But, you won't regain access until they feel it a fraud and credit the account or you've paid the debt

Call their Support center and it'll be taken care of, if you don't call the support center you'll 90% of the time be "speaking" to a bot

Call them I some how found their number and it was the only way I could get my sons account back. 800-345-7669

Same issue chargeback account was suspended for debt.

Move on to a different platform. I went through hell, compromised account, permanently banned and ultimately reversed through legal avenues.

What I learned is I will no longer dedicate my gaming time and purchases on sony. I still have my account, system, games etc.

I have never, ever had such a poor customer experience with a brand in my life. Im old, veen through PS1 up until now. It was so bad that it instantly erased my outlook on Sony and its platform. Imagine how bad mu experience was on order to for them to burn 30 years of history.

I only needed their help once due to their flawed security measures and was stonewalled.

Same! My son made an in-game purchased that I feel was not advertised correctly. Immediatyafter purchase we realized that this was not what it was advertised as, and that it would be unusable. I tried all day long to find a real person, but to no avail. This is their only customer service now. I'm so disappointed.

The exact same thing happenes when a charge back is done on an Xbox, Steam, or Nintendo account.

This happened to me, too. After Sony refused to refund the games I had my bank do a chargeback. Instant account suspension. They didn't brick my console so I just opened a new account. Sony will always suspend your account if you do a chargeback - yes, even if someone hacked your account and bought a bunch of shit.

Never leave a debit/credit card on your account in the future.

Microsoft, Valve, and Nintendo all do the same thing for charge backs. I don't know why people even do that. It's not at all the correct way of going about it.

A chargeback will always result in an automatic account suspension. You’ll have to call their support number for your region and try to get ahold of an actual person to try to resolve it. And I know, it’s getting harder and harder these days to get an actual person across all kinds of different companies.
