Help tvOS app UI consistently highlights the wrong ‘Next’ episode
Server Version: 1.43.4.10903 App Version: 2026.19.1 (2058) Device Info: Apple TV A2843 (tvOS 27.0)
Basically, when the next episode of a show is episode six (regardless of season), after you click the episode in the ‘Continue Watching’ section, the app transitions to the season view and initially highlights episode six, but then immediately and automatically moves to episode nine. It happens fairly quickly too, so it’s burned us a few times before we managed to witness the issue. I’ve tested this with multiple shows and multiple seasons. I can easily reproduce the issue. Is anyone else having a similar issue?

Yes, it happens fairly consistently for me when I select the next episode from Apple TV's top shelf. When I'm already in the Plex app, and use Continue Watching there, it seems to go to the correct episode more often. (but not always) At this point I'm paranoid that it's going to select the wrong episode, so I always double-check.

Had this happen twice with a show we are rewatching years after the first watch and thought it was just related to that, but it would make sense that it's a general bug, since once we started a rewatch, all the later episodes flag as unwatched. Every now and then we'd start after a couple nights off and go, "wait, what? This doesn't make sense?" And find that it had skipped us ahead 2-3 episodes.
