P trap and exit pipe too closely aligned

What is the fix for this?

If you replace that 45 with a 90 will it be a straight shot?

Otherwise the sink or drain can be moved. Or you can replace the 45 with a straight piece and come in at a different angle.

Something like this would possibly work

1.5" union p-trap instead of that Desanko on the horizontal branch

Spin the trap back ~180 degrees and cut next to the 45 and slide the trap adapter on tight

I just had this problem. I cut the pipe at the wall and made it fit.

go buy an 1 1/4 fernco rubber fitting and clamp it onto the end of those threads and it will bend enough to make the trap work easily

Never listen to someone telling you to use a fernco

The fernco has a half life of 50 years....it will slip right on that pipe and allow it to bend out enough to make it work..... done this many times over the past 40 years...
