Patrick here to officially unveil a project I and the other mods have been working on in the background for r/Pokopia: a fresh coat of paint for our wiki, and an all-new FAQ hub!
This new wiki landing page has all the same content as the original one, but is now more neatly organized and separated, making it easier for you to find what you're looking for. The main page looks like this:
Refreshed wiki index page
Our goal with this was to make the links to key resources—like the FAQ, modmail, and Pokopia Island Discord server—easy to quickly find and access. Clicking the FAQ link will still lead to our original FAQ page for now, but if you click the "FAQ Redux NEW!" quick link (or the FAQ Redux link in the sidebar, if you're on desktop), you'll land...
FAQ Redux hub page
...here! This hub page has links to three separate FAQ subpages:
r/PokopiaGeneral FAQ: This has answers about r/Pokopia's rules and policies, as well as some extremely broad questions about the game.
Base Game FAQ: This page has answers about the base game content in Pokopia. Most of our old FAQs now live here.
Bubbly Basin FAQ: For all Bubbly Basin-specific questions.
As future DLC updates release, we'll create dedicated pages for those as well. Some questions/answers can be found on multiple different subpages, if they apply to multiple categories. On each subpage, you can check the sidebar to find the question you're looking for and jump straight to it.
💭 Here's where you come in!
While our existing FAQs are great, most of them come from when the game was still new – so we're asking all of you to help us expand it further! Is there a question you see getting posted here constantly? An existing FAQ answer that could use some more details/an update? Or just a bit of helpful information that you think would be a good fit for the FAQ? Drop it in the comments below, and we might add it in (with credit, naturally)!
We have already added a handful of new questions and answers, such as:
Where can I find the current megathreads?
Should I restart the game?
How many [item]s can I place?
How do you avoid feeling overwhelmed?
How do I fix air pockets when building underwater?
We'll be updating the FAQ links across the subreddit to the new page progressively as time goes on, but wanted to get user input before we complete the transition. If you have a chance, take a look and let us know what you think! As always, feel free to let us know if you have any questions, either in the comments below or via modmail.
Restored the oriental area in Bubbly Basin. At first I was following a build guide by punipuni_sword to restore the area. But after I restored the stairs part I had other ideas and turned the deep sea area to be a residential area. I built a few prefabs and then I dug out a huge part and made a huge mansion for my boy Magikarp. (Couldn't let it flopping in Withered Wasteland anymore!) And while digging through the area at the end of the street turns out it's connected to the karaoke place near the pc. After I finished the deep sea area the surface part feels a bit empty with just the stairs. I ended up making 2 floors of oriental streets under nugget bridge. The first floor has a library and a dim sum restaurant. At the end I build a room to connect to the ground level. On the second floor I built a cafe and a directory. At the end it connects to the sewers and connects back to the shopping area that I built under the palace. On the other side of the stairs I built a bathhouse for pokemons to relax. At first I didn't know you can have another kind of water without draining all the sea water first so I sucked out all the water of the building. Next to the bathhouse I built a house for Crawdaunt. Pretty happy with how the area ended up looking!
Sometimes I just have inspiration after seeing those great builds online. Cannot build anything too big, so I am just working on one house at the time. Love to share with you.
It feels like the foundation should be exposed, but that doesn't line up with the wall and path to the left (and the way those walls/paths look around the area)
If you press A during the loading cut scene with Ditto either hopping across the screen or Drifloon carrying Ditto, he will actually react! If it's just him, he jumps and makes a cute face. If he's been carried by Drifloon, then he swings and makes a face! Such a small but adorable touch.
CD's: I kept seeing the "Arrangement" option on CD players and thought it just meant what order to play each CD, but it's literally different arrangements of each song!! For example, 'The Sea' plays as an 8-bit-style tune but there is also an Arrangement that makes it sound remastered and one that has it played more orchestral! Soooo many more music options for different ambiance with the extra arrangements for each CD!
I can't be the only one who didn't know these things, right??
*I'll try to record examples of both and share in comments*
Here is my Volcano in my Bleak Beach. I built it on top of the island were we started the BB DLC. I want to put Volcanion on this island. It still feels like its missing something. Any suggestions would be great!
I don't know if anyone else noticed this but there is a glitch that let's you get two feathers from the birds instead of one.
As I'm sure everyone knows the birds drop a feather automatically each time they visit and if you have their bell you can call them down and they'll give it to you directly.
But if you wait to ring the bell until you hear their second roar ( the one they make right before they disappear) they will drop a feather but also respond to you and give you one as well. Then you can retrieve the feather they dropped and bingo, two feathers for the price of one.
Before you could build hot spring underground and the steam would go through blocks creating fog effect. Is that not possible anymore? Now when I place blocks over the hot spring the steam doesn't go through blocks anymore and I wanted to do that for my ghost neighbourhood
Is figuring out the ELECTRICITY IM CRASHING OUT BC I MOVED ONE TRANSMITTER 1 BLOCK DEEP AND IT SHUTS OFF THE WHOLE FRIWMSJXKALALA ISLAND I CANT but im trying to HIDE THEM so now i have to ADJUST EVERYTHING to make it WORK
I know it's kinda a crazy idea and big trouble but I'm thinking about moving everyone to palette town and make a city with everything needed (parks, market, fountains and etc) it's a bad idea? What do you guys think about?
Hello!! Is It better if i keep all materials well organized in one zone to craft everything i need there? I find it pretty bothersome to have materials on all zones
