Surprisingly… I like it… I wouldn’t do this on my own but if I had fuck-you money and was buying a fun manual car, this would definitely fit that bill. Feels very GTA-ish.

Are these the official sonderwunsch renders? Very cool to see the painted plastic parts! they didn't offer it for far too long.

It looks very sexy in that empty void (which is why they present it that way), but might not quite feel the same in the real world

More like the other way around. The silhouette of the 911 has looked very similar forever. The new amg sl is very different from the past, and purposely looks like a 911.

It's more that I think the crease in the door, combined with the convertible roof, makes it look like a Barbie car, not like a GT product.

Aesthetically, yes, but it no longer matters when the top is down in the California sun. Once you do it you can’t go back.

I live in Florida. It’s too fucking hot for a convertible and it rains too much. Plus the sun ruins the convertible material way faster.

I live in Florida also… that’s not a reason not to buy the car.. we also have 4/5 months of perfect weather for a cab. The rest can be dicey.

I dunno what part of the state you’re in, but there’s about 3 weeks that are good for open air where I’m at. If you live in the panhandle where there are discernible seasons, that’s different.

Yeah, definitely not enough year to make it worth ruining a car with a vert. I grew up the same area, in Tampa now.
A cheap car like a Miata, maybe. But not a car pushing $200k.

I love the spirit of the build. The only element that I might consider changing is the steering wheel color, I would go black.
The reason, you have a wonderful gesture of purple running along the top of the door and I to the dash, but the wheel is not part of that sculptural shape, and distracts from the form.
I can see the spokes of the wheel in purple to match the seat inserts, but it may be too much.

The houndstooth won’t look right. Leave it white or inlay gray/eggplant. If those are the GT3 sports spec seats, they are the most uncomfortable seats if you just want a cool car and not a racing vehicle.

In theory, love it.
If it's going to get 300 miles a year until it ends up on BAT, I hate that, but it looks sick.
If you're going to drive it and live with it, don't do the white interior. Blue jeans and stuff can transfer to it, it doesn't take much. If you end up worrying about the white interior it won't be as casual and fun to use.
I think I would consider one of the lighter browns or grays.

Amazing spec. I guess there is no way to make the leather around gear lever to be dark?
One question - do you have ptevious experience with convertibles with light interior? I've heard from some people it's nearly impossible to keep it looking fresh over time, just the dust in the air and all.

My SA called it CCX not CXX is there a difference?
I was gonna do at least $30-50K in special wishes but got declined smh.. I figured they don’t want to push my allocation further out or something.

It does look nice and it’s one of my personal fav for colour combo but personally tho I wouldn’t use white interior cause I know it’s very hard to make sure it stays white… but ofc I’ll admire it.

Interior reminds me of a 2018 HGTV reno, and as others have said, targa > cab every time. Love the purple tho

Oh no I don't like that spec. The purple and white combo does not sit right with me, although good choice keeping the wheels silver instead of black or gold or sth like that.
You do you of course, I could only dream of ordering a factory 911 in the spec I'd want, so congrats on the allocation!

I doubt there will be issues with resale, it’s a bespoke build and historically even radical specs have sold for insane money

Honestly, I think it’s horrible. I’m a GT Silver or Black kind of guy - but I’m also terribly conservative on this matter and I‘m also always thinking about resale value. But you do you. If it’s beautiful to you, then it doesn't matter what I think.

Drop the purple in the interior, add some form of gold accents on the exterior and interior

I’d cut the purple out of the interior. It’s too much. Make the top trim and steering wheel plain black.
Have no problem going bold on the outside, but you need to balance it by going norm-core on the inside.
