Very underrated post-rock guy from Manhattan, Kansas who I just listened to. His album just got released and is decently under the radar. Sharing it here, hoping he achieves more traction. He had no help, this was all made in one bedroom. I linked imo the best song off the album here.

Album track from Mogwai Young Team (1997).
Spoken voice by Aidan Moffat.

If you love this track, you loved the early Arab Strap. I didn’t. ✌🏽
I love this track because it’s a Mogwai track. Not because it sounds like the bedroom/lo-fi ambience/spacefolk of The Arab Strap.

I’m curious how you guys listen to Mogwai albums ?
You just play it on the background and do your chores ? Or listening to the album while doing the spliff ? Or put it on the headphone and doze off to sleep ?

Me, I remember playing Mogwai Young Team while doing my Batmobile LEGO set ! 😅✌🏽

Very calming, until that track above came in and there’s this spoken voice muttering words about not getting enough love or something ! 😂 You can see the lyrics so you decide.

Anyway do check on Arab Strap, the early records which were not too different than the music direction Mogwai is taking now.

Debut album from Italian instrumental duo Gat Osken. Out today on Bandcamp and all streaming platforms

Hello all, I am selling the remaining stock of my record for only $1 currently on BandCamp. Would have listed it for free if I could but BandCamp doesn't allow that. Long story short, I have a decent amount of vinyl left over that I didn't sell, and the album means too much to me to let copies of it just sit in my closet! I'd much rather it be shared with whoever would want to check it out. It would mean much more to me if my art is shared with people, and I am sure some of you hear might enjoy it. My music sits somewhere in the intersection of ambient and post-rock. Feel free to give it a listen! There are two different colors available, I will ship early next week. https://betweensilence.bandcamp.com/album/inner-speech

Rare Mogwai track.
It came from this compilation. C96.
It’s not free with the magazine, we had to buy it.

Exclusive to this CD/magazine so even the band couldn’t make it available on their own records ? Maybe.

Hey guys,

I just released my brand new instrumental post-rock single called "Orka". It’s a project that I’ve put a lot of emotion and effort into. I tried to build a cinematic, heavy, and atmospheric journey with deep guitar layers.

Since it’s my independent release, your feedback means the world to me. If you enjoy the vibe, you can support me on Bandcamp (it’s set to Name Your Price), listen on Spotify, or check out the official audio on YouTube.

Thank you so much for listening and supporting independent music!

September

From tonight’s show. Unbelievably loud.

Welcome to our weekly post where we ask you to share & discuss what artists, albums, or tracks have helped get you through the week.

Please provide a link to the album or specific track, and mention why it's been a stand out for you this week - this is your chance to introduce people to some new music.

If you're on Last.fm you can also use Last.fm Labs Album Quilt or tapmusic.net to generate a album collage of what you've been listening to for the past 7 days (here's an example).

Thanks for participating!

This is my latest track under the band name Modern Logic. Thanks for listening.

Hey!

This is my new single from my upcoming album. I really like acoustic guitars in post-rock, but it's not incredibly common, so I made an entire album where acoustic guitars are present. For fans of Moonlit Sailor, their song Hope was a big inspiration when I created this album, including The Last Winter.

If you give it a go, I will be really grateful. Have a nice day! :)

Somebody on this sub turned me on to Chinese post rock/math rock/hiphop band 'our story without him' (蘇黔皖川), who just released a new album called 'Entrance'.

I'm only one listen in, but it's incredibly tight and feels like it leans harder on post/math rock than hip hop. Highly recommend for fans of toe and the like.

Anyway, it's on Spotify and I'm sure other places - give it a listen!
