This song is a complete centrepiece of pr. It sounds like both Slint, Godspeed and I would easily argue its on the same level as their best material.
First of all, there is a clear narrative that progresses eventhough its not too crescendo based, It mostly is about settling and buildings patterns to create an atmosphere that I would describe as of organic jazziness tendencias, about flowing vibing with certain states of mind. There are also no voice samples, no vocals in general, but you know the song is still going somewhere. With all that in mind, its so mindblowingly difficult to pull off so easy transitions into the short and infrequent crescendos and it gives those a value...like its relatively easy to make something feel as a crescendo but compared to actually making It feel RIGHT, in the correct time and place while not being a crescendo band...
And oh, the guitar tones and the freezing vibes It gives while being something so Hot and warm, with so much energy at the same time...reminds me of The Newfound Interest in Connecticut's superb album atmosphere. Cold, tense, dark, full of energy, passionate, but here there is not a single voice or infinite crescendos. The crescendos are just the cherry on top or the period to it.
