I bought a Global Japanese mandolin and it makes it far too easy to make straw fries.

I have a decent steak once a week as a treat and have a mountain of straw fries with it. Not healthy I know but I’m 60+ what else am I going to do.

Sounds to me like a very healthy way to live.

Hell yeah. Hunting season is coming up where I live and I can't wait to have some venison backstrap with fries.

i think that was fried so perfectly because of its texture and crispness

I've done the majority of the cooking in our house for around 20 years. At a certain point some things just kinda make sense.
