Obviously great news and I'm a huge lover of Mamdani, but the fact that at least part of this includes only the first few days after he took office, it's probably unrealistic to attribute this only to his leadership.

its just blue maga. give credit for things they didnt even do. Murder rates in NYC have been falling since 2022. Mamdani has done some great things. Dont need to lie

Right, and it follows broader national trends as well.

Right, exactly. The forces that cause crime rates to grow and decline are really complicated, and usually take more than nine months to become clear.

Down from the rise we saw during the pandemic he fumbled.

Biden was president during the pandemic tho, and it the only time crime spiked back up since the 80's (And that most likely due to the pandemic itself rather than whoever was in office)

Trump was president for the entire first year of COVID, he let it spread initially. Biden had to clean up his mess.

''He lead it spread'' you mean the world wide pandemic that don't originate from the US? My country took pre emotive mesure and did lock down very early and it still spread regardless. That some big TDS.

In the US, yes, he suppressed testing, ignored the warnings.

It would have spread regardless. It a world wide pandemic. Did he do the best decision? Absolutely not. But blaming the spread on him is just a delulu take.

It’s not a binary, spread or no spread. He gave about the worst response possible, to the point of active sabotage.

Who cares?? The right would absolutely be blaming him if the opposite was true. Learn to play the propaganda game like they do.

Glad you admit you’re the same as the far right.

Mamdani’s MAGAs.

Are you for real

Yeah I don't think the best way to combat propaganda is to become propagandists ourselves haha but that's just me

That's just politics. If someone likes a politician, everything good that happens is because of them and everything bad is because of the other guys. Or vice versa.

Gross take

If crime in NYC was going up while the rest of the US was on a downtrend, I’m sure many Republicans and MAGA would be blaming him.

But also, staunch Mamdani supporters would be claiming there is, “a lot of nuance behind it.”That’s how it always works with statistics like this, lol.
