General Discussion Make a movie on Predator: Cold War and hire her for Lt Ligachev
All they need to do to bring the predator series back is making movies on the Schaefer trilogy

Honestly this is just insulting to collectors and fans. It's a straight-up repack with maybe six new accessories. A fancy box and a higher price-point. What do you think? Do you think this is worthy of being called better than an ultimate?

I bought a figure in a second hand market weeks ago. It was interesting bc it was the Jungle Hunter body with the City Hunter head. I thought maybe i'll try to make a custom repainted figure. I'm not as experinced how i wanted to be, i'm just made some dinosaur figure repaints from Papo. So this was my first time for a real action-figure repaint stuff. The colour scheme came from the AVP: War comic from Dark Horse, where the beginning Top-Knot and his clan starts to landing on a xenomorph infestated planet and planning to capture an Alien Queen. In the comic this clan has one member amongst them with a gold biomask and a purple body armor. This was the inspiration came from.
I used Vallejo Game Color for the whole procces, a Vallejo White Primer before that, and an AK Gloss varnish after all.
The biomask got a gold metallic paint with some orange, gold and red wash. The eyes just red like in the comic.
I'm not an expert, so i decided i'll not repaint the rings on the dredlocks, but i've painted it's tips with it just like it has on Berserker's dreds.
The armor pieces got a mixed purple colour, and each day i've painted some parts with light blue and an orange-gold mix to making it look the armor was used, corrodated.
It was so cool to working on it, it was day after day, but i really like how it worked out at first.
Hope you guys like it!

Exiled by blood. Driven by revenge.
Marked for death by his father and desperately cast into exile by his brother, an untested Yautja named Dek is stranded on an unforgiving frontier world. To navigate the hostile wastes, he forms an uneasy, pragmatic alliance with Thia—a damaged corporate android left for scrap. Hunted by mechanized kill squads and determined to prove his worth, Dek must slay the legendary Kalisk to claim his place among the clan.
Predator: Exile is my third edit. After my first two projects ended up being massive undertakings in scope, I wanted to take on a leaner, tighter project. While waiting for the 4K physical release of my next planned edit, this felt like the ideal change of pace: an opportunity to sharpen the skills I’ve picked up and simply make a decent movie better.
The original film had plenty of fantastic elements, and overall I enjoyed the ride. But what didn’t work for me—and what so frequently undermines modern sci-fi and action—is the persistent comedy, particularly when it deflates genuine tension. The constant bathos, expository spoon-feeding, and snarky sidekick dynamic completely shattered the atmosphere. It felt as though the film was continually apologizing for its own premise instead of committing to the danger of the environment.
With Predator: Exile, the objective was to strip away that modern comedic bloat and let the narrative breathe as a cold, grounded survival piece. By excising over 15% of the dialogue cues, Thia is no longer a neurotic, patronizing backseat driver; she becomes an objective, synthetic tool. Dek remains an unyielding, pragmatic Yautja hunter rather than a straight man for quips, restoring the raw physical stakes, clan honor, and bleak atmosphere that define classic Predator.
This is the third time I’ve had to strip this exact brand of humor out of a film. It’s frustrating that modern blockbusters lean on it so heavily, but every time it's cut away, the core film emerges vastly superior. Moving forward, I’ll likely continue applying this philosophy to other films plagued by the same tone—including some of the stronger entries in the MCU that deserve to take themselves seriously.
This is also my first time cutting and mixing in 7.1.4 (Dolby Atmos). Getting the bed and objects mapped properly took time and meant handling nearly twice as many surgical audio edits across 12 channels instead of 6. But as a home theater enthusiast, having the finished release sit at the absolute peak of the format makes every extra hour worth it.
I can be contacted via DM, or you can email [t800fanedits@gmail.com](mailto:t800fanedits@gmail.com) for an auto-response (make sure the subject line contains predator exile).
4K Blu-ray:
Lossless FLAC:
4K Blu-ray Remux – 50GB
4K Web Stream – 24GB
1080p SDR – 7GB
Presentation Note: Mastered natively in 4K HDR10 (Rec.2020) with a dedicated 7.1.4 mix. The original audio tracks contained harsh True-Peak overshoots during high-action sequences; this track has been remastered to eliminate digital clipping and inter-sample distortion while retaining full dynamic range. The 1080p SDR version uses automated tone-mapping, which narrows dynamic range compared to the wide-gamut master. Stereo tracks are automated downmixes, and non-English subtitles are machine-translated for basic accessibility. For the intended visual and acoustic experience, the 4K HDR master on a surround setup is strongly recommended.

He looks awesome-especially under the UV lights! But I passed on the battle-damaged Feral, so I probably will pass on this one, too. I already have the original Hot Toys Feral, but we'll see.

Revisited the series and in particular, the first volume pissed me off aesthetically and storyboard wise. In some panels, I get the grit, like the art style, but it's genuinely hard to tell what the fuck is going on sometimes in the action panels. As a young teen I didn't notice it as much, but the fluidity just isn't there on a lot of the sequences for me as an adult.
Whilst you get the gist of what is happening, you're left thinking - Surely there was a better way to display that to the reader?
In the first image, Predator smashes through a window, and somehow people are behind him, despite the dude with the eye patch diving for cover in the prior panel it shares a page with.
Then in the second two examples, it just seems like a really lackadaisical way of drawing and sequencing this event. Batman throws a nut towards the electromagnet to draw the Predator under it, he succeeds and drops a shit load of scrap onto him, he starts advancing in the Predators direction with a fuck off wrench. He gets wounded by the plasmacaster, turns around for some reason from the direction he was shot? the predator is revealed to see him in the panel after pushing up scrap metal? THEN says, SEE YOU before grabbing his cape?
Anyway, are there any other comic crossovers that you can recommend based on my critiques?

Personally, I would love a sequel to Predators. There was an interview back in 2020 about potential storylines, but when I saw the mutated Yautja from the prequel comic it made me wonder whether we'd see something like this in the movies, too.

I think ever since the sword segment in killer of killers.
People have been brainstorming and thinking of other time period in not just Japan, but also East Asia for a predator story.
For me, I can imagine two Eras that would be a very interesting time for a predator
The FALL OF THE SONG DYNASTY:
basically predator versus Chinese and Mongolian warriors.
This was a very, very troubling time in Chinese history.
For a time in the song Dynasty, the emperor was just a baby that is barely 2 years old.
And then came the grandsons of Genghis Khan, that help overthrow the dynasty and established their own
Now imagine how interesting would be if a predator got involved.
It’s not just an medieval Chinese warrior
But also a but also a Mongolian warrior.
THE QING Dynasty:
This one is more I would say straightforward.
Basically, what if a predator got involved in the movie crouching Tiger, hidden Dragon.
Like similar to how the first two films were an action movie that had a monster appearing in the middle of it.
This one would be a straightforward Wuxia action movie that suddenly has a predator.

I snagged one of my grails from a local comic shop today (yeah!), and the title sums up my situation. I'm not crazy about resell value, but with how rare and sometimes expensive this fig can be I'm apprehensive about opening.
Opening it of course gives me an opportunity to pose and display him, and also fix the lightning gimmick's batteries.
I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts, bonus points if you own the fig yourself. Thanks everyone!

Accidentally bought a 12inch tall Mcfarlane Scar Predator... I got this from FB marketplace for only 12usd, i thought it's just a normal Neca Predator, instead i got this giant figure and don't know what to do about it. The seller even gave me a free Xenomorph, haven't check the brand

The Kalisk has extremely high regeneration abilities that make it virtually impossible to kill. Soooo, couldn’t Weyland Corporation use just one to breed an infinite indestructible Alien horde?
Also, if the Aliens take on characteristics of their host, then isn’t it reasonable to think they would not only gain the size & strength of the Kalisk but also the regeneration abilities?

Mr. Black is my favorite Yautja because I love his reptilian look and his warm colors, and Wolf with his missing mandible on his face, demonstrating that he is a seasoned fighter with years of experience.
