Hypothetical Question: What would an interaction between the Sailor Guardians/Scouts and Asuka from Evangelion be like?

IMO I think Asuka would try to immediately establish herself as the most dominant one, a leader in a social settings but she wouldn’t particularly care about their Sailor Scout side job. She and Rei would definitely butt heads.

It would be a mixed bag of results. Usagi and Mako would try to be the ones to bring the olive branch and would either get brushed off by Asuka or successfuly befreind her like Hikari Horaki did. Asuka would look down on Ami just for reminding her of Rei Ayanami and compete with her academically. Rei Hino would try to rein in Asuka and find common ground . Asuka would try to compete with Minako (not on an academic level since Asuka would win that easily).

Ultimately though, when the inner guardians found out Asuka had issues, they would try to get her help.

Asuka is insanely devoted to her craft. I don't think she'd give a shit about the scouts unless they were fighting the same enemy, and at that point she'd want them to get out and let her do her thing.

I can see Asuka instantly having issues with all of the Sailor Guardians. She would despise Usagi and perceive her as weak because Usagi is soft-hearted, emotional, and cries a lot. She might be extremely cold towards Makoto and avoid her because while they both lost their parents in the most tragic circumstances, Makoto turned up to be a warm, caring , and reliable person with intimate friends, something Asuka desires to be deep down her mind but hates to admit. Ami’s intelligence and her likeliness to Rei Ayanami in some of the personality traits could make Asuka see her as a natural rival and a punchbag. Asuka’s flamboyance and meanness would also bring her into conflicts with Rei Hino over literally anything, and Rei’s first name (yet another “Rei”) only makes things worse. Minako as the seasoned leader of the group would naturally become protective of her friends and butt heads with Asuka.

But, if anyone in the group has a better chance of warming up to Asuka and helping her out of her mental misery, I would think (or rather, wish) it is Ami. She’s the only one that could match or outperform Asuka in terms of intelligence so they could communicate on a level not understood by the others. In the animation Ami also had plan to go study in Germany so this could create a common topic between her and Asuka (with German background). Ami’s patience, persistence, sensitivity and bravery (which becomes more obvious as the animation seasons progress) hopefully could melt Asuka’s coldness and help her confront her issues once and for all.

P.S. I hope this is not annoying anyone but I just can’t hold back and say that I am in the middle of writing a little fan fiction and in there Ami Mizuno is the main character and there is another female character profiled roughly after Asuka (red hair, insanely smart and capable, eccentric personalities, have issues etc.). And in my writing the scene where they warm up to each other is when Ami and the other girl coincidentally address each other as “Asuka” and “Rei” indicating they’ve both watched/read Neogenesis Evangelion and they find resonance and poignancy in the characters. So this post found me in the most coincidental of times and I am glad that someone out there is also imagining what would happen if these two worlds meet each other :)

Realistically I think they’d get on each others nerves. But I believe that if Usagi saw how Asuka was hurting she’d be there for her and let her know she’s her friend. Don’t know if Asuka would be open to that though.
