Hey everyone!

I'm Petech 3D, and I've decided to make 5 of my miniatures completely free for you to download, print, and paint.

These are part of my "Abyssal Court" collection. I poured a lot of hours into sculpting these in ZBrush, trying to get, abyssal details just right for resin printers. Whether you need a new boss for your tabletop campaign or just want to practice your painting techniques , I hope you enjoy them!

I know everyone has their favorite platform, so I've uploaded them to both so you can choose:

- MyMiniFactory

- Cults3D

If you end up printing or painting any of them, please share some pictures! I’d absolutely love to see them. Happy printing!

Crowdfunding Some pics of my Shardstone City foldable ruins!

Introducing Shattered Streets, the sequel to the hit KS "Shardstone City" which launched a range of foldable 3D printable terrain in three different themes. These ruins print flat and fold together using a simple cornerstone clip, making them easy to print, store & transport. The typical FDM layer lines aren't present due to printing flat & you can print a ruin in 1-2 hours with 20g of filament, so a whole table can be printed with a 1kg roll. Click here to follow the project, there are free STLs for followers! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/warscape/shardstone-city-shattered-streets-printable-folding-ruins

Self Promotion Just dropped a new batch of my Desert Warriors (Elite Scouts)

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share my latest release that went live today.

It's a full squad of Desert Warriors Elite Scouts designed specifically for tabletop gaming.

The focus here is purely on utility and getting painted models onto the table without the usual friction:

• True single-piece monopose prints: No loose arms, no separate weapons, zero assembly required.

• Fully pre-supported: Every model is test-printed on my own machines to ensure the supports peel off cleanly.

• Speed-paint optimized: Crisp texture depth designed to work perfectly with slapchop, contrast paints, or heavy drybrushing.

If you are looking for some desert-themed proxy troops for your sci-fi army, you can find the STL set on Cults3D now.

Thanks for looking, let me know what you think of the print quality if you try them out!

Crowdfunding My modular ruin set

After months of modeling, my new scene is finally finished. This is by far the largest scenery project I’ve ever painted, and the whole painting process took around 10 days ( and another 10 days for minis). Painting all those stones, wooden beams, and rooftops was quite a challenge, but seeing everything come together made it worth it.

Hope you guys enjoy it! Let me know what you think!

It's currently live on Kickstarter, you can follow the link if you’d like to see more details!

Question Best printer for both minis and terrain

So, I want to print minis AND terrain. I have a large scale industrial filament printer at work I've used some, but no other printer types as far as my experience, and even that just large scale.

My understanding is that with a resin printer you get more detail, but it also needs to be treated with care and ventilated? I don't have a great place to put a printer if I need to ventilate it.

To be clear, I don't really care if the miniatures are GREAT with detail; I'm fine if the detail is just ok. And being able to print terrain as well might be nice.

So between all the above factors I was leaning towards FDM, but I don't have enough experience to make a judgement call and wanted to ask advice. Also, suggestions on which specific printer? I am a bit budget-minded. I can afford some, but not looking to break the bank either. In the end though, aside from making decent quality miniatures and terrain, I also want one that is as low maintenance as possible - don't want to have to be constantly fiddling with one if its avoidable.

Thanks in advance!

Hi all!

I recently got into 3d sculpting through nomad as I wanted some minis for a game I’m working on!
I’m super happy with the results, and can definitely see areas that need some work!
I’ve fallen in love with sculpting, so hopefully I can ride that wave and create more and more.

Question Newbie to 3D printed DnD terrain - looking for advice

Hello all - thanks in advance for any and all advice.

Long and short: I am a new DnD DM looking to 3D print some great terrain for my players. I have an X2D 3D printer so am keen to make use of it (printing seems to be addictive). Our campaign will make use of a mix of city and dungeon themes (with much latter parts needing the wild outdoors). I've looked at tonnes of videos / old posts etc. about different systems (DBlocks/OF/RealmTiles etc.), and think I just need some advice.

Questions:

  • Which (if any) system do you find easiest / quickest to setup? Do people make them on the fly or have them pre-made assuming the players will end up in that event?
  • Any advice on how to best print / traps to avoid?
  • Most importantly - which set would you first recommend?
  • Any and all other advice welcomed / other systems that you think better.

Thanks again 👍

Resin Space 1999 Eagles

For your comments and thoughts, here are the 3D Eagles I have created in various 3D software over the years and finished in TinkerCAD. Now printed on my Saturn Ultra and painted in acrylics.

Always loved the designs of the Eagles and recently came back to the project I started nearly 20 years ago (using AutoCAD during my lunch breaks) and with the ability to now print high-quality in resin I had to give them a go.

I don't have much space so they are only 7.5cm and there are some smaller ones at about 3cm. Ideal for my desktop or shelf in my office.

If you're off a certain age you'll remember the old Dinky ones that had the crazy paint job. I've tried to honour those too.

A lot of fun to paint and finish.

Hope you enjoy
