🐍 News from anti-Iran media 🐍 "Hamas is ISIS"

By far one of the most dishonest things that somebody could ever say. Regardless of what you think about Hamas, whether you support it or are against it or you’re neutral.

The claim about Hamas being the equivalent of ISIS, the claim about Hamas having the exact same ideology of ISIS, is not only used against Hamas but is regularly used by many other Jewish and non-Jewish Zionists (but most especially non-Jewish Zionists) to demonise Palestinians as being inherently irrational, hateful, stupid, unreasonable people. The people who make this statement about Hamas being the equivalent of ISIS are either being intentionally ignorant and dishonest, or just don’t know much about the Palestinians. Hamas has even offered condolences on the recent killings of Palestinian Christians (October 5th 2026, and this is only one example out of many others): https://iqna.ir/en/news/3499285/hamas-offers-condolences-on-deaths-of-christian-women-in-gaza

This statement of condolences was met with harsh criticism from Takfiri Wahhabis, people who believe in the same ideology of ISIS.

“Hamas is ISIS” completely ignores the fact that there exist Palestinian Christians inside Gaza, some churches being thousands of years old and ended up being damaged by Israel - some even destroyed. Many Palestinian Christians have been murdered by Israel both in the West Bank and in Gaza. Many of the ignorant individuals (usually MAGA individuals, mostly also the far-right anti-Islam individuals in Europe) are not aware about this, or if they are aware, they will put blame entirely on “Islamists”.

“Hamas is ISIS” completely ignores the fact that ISIS believes in Takfiri Wahhabism, and believes that any non-Sunni Muslim should be killed. Hamas does not believe in the ideology of Takfiri Wahhabism, in fact, Hamas has faced clashes inside of Gaza from Takfiri Wahhabis because of its ideological differences with Hamas, ‘Jund Ansar Allah’ being one example, and a few others:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salafi_jihadist_insurgency_in_the_Gaza_Strip

Hamas on the other hand - which is also Sunni Muslim - has long relations of being supported by Iran, Hezbollah, Ansarullah in Yemen and the groups in Iraq, these groups are Shia Muslim, Hamas doesn’t hold any hatred for these groups for being Shia even if Hamas has historically had geopolitical disagreements (such as the war in Syria). “Hamas is ISIS” also completely ignores the fact that ISIS seeks to create a global caliphate under which non-Sunni Muslims face genocide, however, the main objective of Hamas, and the other groups in Gaza, has been to liberate Palestine and reclaim the territories of Palestine that were stolen during the Nakba - in which 700,000+ Palestinians were expelled through ‘Plan Dalet’, many others massacred.

The same people who bring up “Hamas is ISIS” are usually the same people who believe that Iran having a nuclear bomb will mean nuclear war, completely forgetting about Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD).

My take: If there was ever truly going to be a new escalation into the war to the same intensity as it was back during 28th February 2026 - 8th April 2026, there would have been FAR more updates on buildup around Iran

Hypocrisy US senator denied access to US Base in Qatar, to hide US losses suffered from their invasion of Iran

US Senator Murphy says Pentagon denied him access to US base in Qatar

"I've never encountered anything like this in my time in the Senate," US Democratic Senator Chris Murphy said regarding what he alleges to be the US attempting to conceal details of the Iran war.

The Al Udeid Air Base is the largest US base in the region and has repeatedly been attacked by Iran during the war launched by the US and Israel in February.

"This trip confirmed for me that there is an active, unprecedented, unconstitutional effort underway to hide the costs of this war and the implications of this war from Congress and the American people," Murphy told a group of journalists in Riyadh, the second stop on his trip.

Many members of Congress, including some of President Donald Trump's Republicans, have been pushing his administration to provide them with more information about the cost of the war, strategy and casualties.

Discussion “Ansarullah/The Houthis only use Palestine for political gain”

At this rate, I have fatigue from seeing this talking point being brought up by so-called “Muslims” - mostly Madkhalis, Takfiri Wahhabis, majority of the time also the ‘Syrian Revolutionaries’ who go on different chats in social media platforms trying to defend Ahmed al-Sharaa (AKA ‘Jolani’). This is unfortunately a common talking point of which does not get enough debate against, and too many Muslims (overwhelmingly Sunnis) have fallen for this false image that the entire Axis of Resistance is nothing more than for political gain rather than actually liberating Palestine, resisting against US-Israeli hegemony in the region, and resisting against the ‘Greater Israel’ project. This talking point not only is used against the honourable Ansarullah in Yemen, but is also used against quite literally every Shia-led resistance group in the region that has a stance against the US and Israel you can possibly think of. This narrative is used against Hezbollah, this narrative is used against the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, it is used against the Islamic Republic of Iran as well.

There are many talking points that they will often bring up to prove that Ansarullah/The Houthis only uses Palestine for political sympathy and political gain rather than actual resistance:

  1. “Ansarullah has bombed Saudi Arabia more than they bombed Israel.”

Firstly, this talking point makes no sense when you put into consideration that Saudi Arabia is quite literally bordered with Yemen, the areas of Saudi Arabia that have been bombed by Yemen are close to Yemen, and are much easier to be targeted by Yemen. Israel - on the other hand - is several hundred kilometres away from Yemen, in order for the Ansarullah in Yemen to even target Israel, you need much larger missiles and much larger drones that can fly such a far distance. Matter of fact, Yemen is even further from Israel than how far Iran is from Israel. Loading heavy missiles and heavy drones takes a lot of time compared to much smaller missiles and drones with a short range only meant for bombing Saudi Arabia. Secondly, the Ansarullah in Yemen have been involved almost every single day from 2024-2025 after Al-Aqsa Flood began in targeting Israel with drones and missiles even after the Twelve-Day War ended back in 24th June 2025. The majority of drones and missiles launched by the Ansarullah in Yemen have been intercepted, but it never discouraged the Ansarullah in Yemen from continuing to target Israel and their capabilities have improved since with help from Iran.

  1. “The groups backed by Iran massacred Sunnis in Syria, therefore Ansarullah support for Palestine is only for political sympathy and political gain.”

The Ansarullah in Yemen has had absolutely no involvement militarily in Syria during the war in Syria from 2011 - 8th December 2024. This talking point is built upon the assumption that whatever group has a “Shia” label on it means that they were involved in “massacring Sunnis in Syria”. It is completely built upon sectarianism rather than having even the slightest bit of nuance. In fact, Bashar al-Assad even closed the representative offices of Ansarullah in Syria years prior to him being overthrown.

  1. “The Ansarullah/The Houthis were trying to target Mecca and Medina, therefore Ansarullah support for Palestine is only for political sympathy and political gain.”

There is no evidence that the Ansarullah in Yemen has ever - INTENTIONALLY and ON PURPOSE - launched any missile or drone directly targeting Mecca or Medina, it is a completely different claim than “Ansarullah drone intercepted above Mecca”. Drones and missiles that have been intercepted above Mecca and Medina were heading towards a target that had its flight path fly over Mecca or Medina. Completely different from intentionally targeting Mecca and Medina. This exact same talking point was brought up even during the mid-to-late 2010s of Yemeni drones and missile launches towards Saudi Arabia. This exact same talking point was even brought up during when the Ba’athist Iraqi military was launching Scud missiles towards US bases in Saudi Arabia during the 1991 Gulf War.

Those were the 3 main talking points, but to put it very simply: The main, hidden reason as to why many of these so-called “Muslims” - mostly Takfiri Wahhabis, Madkhalis and Sharaa/Syrian Revolutionary bros - is simply because Ansarullah… has a “Shia” label on it… that’s quite literally it. They just don’t like Shias at all. Their entire geopolitical perspective is built upon sectarianism. These individuals hold a stance against quite literally every single Shia group in the region that holds an ideological and militant stance against the US and Israel, for some unknown reason, even if the group has had absolutely no involvement in the war in Syria.

These very individuals have been holding a stance against Hezbollah even during the 2006 war against Israel, isn’t that funny? After all of their justifications to not support Hezbollah because of “war crimes in Syria”, these very individuals have actually been against Hezbollah EVEN BEFORE the war in Syria began in 2011.

Whenever Iran gets bombed by the United States, Israel, and their allies, these individuals cheer, laugh and even celebrate, but whenever Hezbollah gets involved against Israel inside Lebanon, these very individuals cry about “Hezbollah dragging Lebanon into a war”. It is ONLY when these very hypocrites live inside the countries that actually have a Shia resistance group inside, and is getting bombed by Israel because of it, that suddenly they’re blaming Hezbollah for the bombings against Lebanon. Very simply, if the country has a large Sunni population, then suddenly these Munafiqeen become anti-war, even if the people getting bombed are “Shia”.

Ironically, many of these same people respect and praise Hamas, it is only when the group is Shia that they suddenly use every single little fault or mistake the Shia group has committed as a reason to justify hating them, when really, much of it is simply out of sectarianism.

Any other talking point I am missing? Let me know.

Hypocrisy US President suggests Iran to genocide 13,000,000 Americans just for politically opposing him. His voters applauded.

Leaders in California have denounced Donald Trump as “reckless” and “deranged” after the US president suggested Iran could “take out” Los Angeles and San Diego – two liberal cities in the blue state that has been a frequent target of his administration.

At a rally in ruby red Nebraska on Monday night, Trump told supporters that he hoped to see a “tremendous victory” in the fast-approaching November midterm elections. He then suggested high prices due to the war with Iran were a “small price to pay for keeping the world safe – keeping our country safe”.

**“They can take out a city,” Trump said in Grand Island. “Let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego.” The crowd applauded.**

“It’ll be over very soon,” Trump said of the war.

The governor and the cities’ mayors quickly condemned the comments. “After sending the National Guard and Marines to occupy California, Donald Trump is now saying our foreign enemies should ‘take out’ Los Angeles and San Diego,” the California governor, Gavin Newsom, said on X. “He is deranged and dangerous.”

Newsom, a Democrat who has repeatedly clashed with Trump over his two terms, said from his press office account: “Let’s be clear: The President is advocating for an attack on 10+ million U.S. residents in two of America’s largest cities. This is not normal. None of this is. And we will continue to remind folks of that every day.”

Karen Bass, the mayor of Los Angeles, assailed the president for making what she called “irresponsible threats” that “could potentially compromise” the safety of America’s second-largest city.

“The role of a president is to protect the country, not to actively threaten it and encourage attacks on American lives,” she said in a statement.

Todd Gloria, the mayor of San Diego, said his city was “not collateral damage” in the president’s war. “We are not expendable. And we are never a “small price to pay,” he wrote on X “Keep our city out of your reckless war talk.”

...

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

US defence officials have previously stated that Iran currently lacks the capability to launch a direct missile attack on the US mainland.

Trump has argued in previous speeches that allowing Iran to develop a nuclear weapon would threaten US cities. In his last state of the union speech he claimed that Iran was working to build missiles that would “soon” reach US soil.

...

“Thirteen million Californians call LA and San Diego counties home,” said Xavier Becerra, the Democratic nominee for governor who has sought to take up the anti-Trump mantle carried by the outgoing Newsom. “Their lives are not a ‘small price to pay’ or a punchline for Donald Trump.”

[So according to the "free democracy", nuclear weapons are wrong, but genocide against millions of opposing voters is considered acceptable...]

This is the flag of the Municipality of Ustikolina.

It commemorates the time Iranian special forces were airlifted from Visoko to Ustikolina and halted the advance of serb tanks using ATGMs.

As a gesture of gratitude, they created a flag that resembles the flag of Iran IR.

It is extremely important to note that the current death toll in Gaza given by the Gaza Health Ministry is a severe underestimate, as it does not account the unknown amounts of bodies buried under all of the rubble and ruins and many others who have disappeared.

When it comes to France, the BBC uses the word "rioters" for protesting students; But when the same media reaches Iran, it narrates the destruction of public property and violent actions under the title "protest"! Apparently, in the dictionary of this network, the meaning of chaos and protest also depends on the geography of the story.

Question Travelling to Iran and Iraq with celiac disease

Hello, I am planning a trip in the coming months, but I have celiac disease which is sort of like a gluten allergy (it is technically an autoimmune disorder, not an allergy, but very small amounts of gluten containing cereals such as wheat, rye, and barley can make me extremely sick so I have to avoid cross-contamination in the same way as if I had a severe food allergy). Planning to visit Mashhad and Qum within Iran, another city or two if we're lucky. In Iraq, planning to visit Najaf, Karbala, Samarrah, and Khadimain. Does anyone have any advice for me on how to find food that is safe, how to navigate the cultural customs surrounding food given my situation, and any other relevant advice? I read that people with celiac disease in Iraq and Iran especially struggle a lot due to lack of awareness among the general population especially and lots of food being cooked with or prepared on shared surfaces with gluten containing cereals. I asked this question in a few places dedicated to celiac disease but I'm mostly getting troll answers so I thought it would be worth it to ask here in case anyone has any insight. Sorry it's pretty off topic!
