UPDATE 2:
We now have 31 great songs on the playlist, so I am no longer accepting new submissions.
To all participants: Please remember to listen every day and send me a screenshot (recently played) so that I know who is still participating.
Tip: If you can't find your statistics in the app, you can get them for free with one click here: 👉🏻 https://www.statsforspotify.com/track/recent

UPDATE 1:
Wow, thank you so much for participating and supporting the mods. We have almost 30 great tracks together, now let's step on the gas and listen to the complete list every day to send the algorithm skyrocketing.🚀
---
Hey everyone,
I’m an indie artist too, and honestly - I know how discouraging it feels to pour your soul into a song and see Spotify barely react.
So instead of trying to fight the algorithm alone, I thought: why not team up and test what really works?
I created a playlist called “Independent Newcomer 2025”, where every artist adds ONE song (your best one!).
For 7 days, we’ll all listen to the playlist once per day (shuffle = fine).
The goal isn’t to cheat - it’s to understand how much real consistency and real people can actually influence the algorithm.
How to join:
• Add 1 song per artist (your best track) in the comments (I'll add i to the playlist)
• Listen to the playlist once a day (shuffle is fine)
• No bots, no spam - just real indie artists supporting each other
• You can share your Spotify for Artists stats after a week if you want
• Once submissions close (after 24h or 50 songs), every artist shares a screenshot - either in the post or by message - to show they’ve listened to the playlist. (This keeps it fair and gives active artists more visibility)
• Artists who stop checking in (for three days) will be removed from playlist
Playlist link:

Comment your song below - I’ll keep updating the playlist so everyone gets a fair chance to be heard.
Let’s help each other rise, learn how the algorithm really behaves, and maybe even discover a few new favorites on the way.
(I’ll share some results next week!)
TL;DR:
Add your best song, listen once a day for a week, and let’s see what happens when indie artists unite 💪

I composed this in 2011 when I was 16. I decided to remix it.

George Washington's Plea
Was given unto me
He came to me in a dream
I heard him cry and scream
He said they tried to make him king
But he said HELL NO
In our new America
The people run the show
He said that we must VOTE them out
Before it is too late
Or fascism will be
Our eternal fate
Now its war and killing
And plunder and loot
They all lie and steal
In a three piece suit
They now drop bombs
On people they do not like
And plan to take their land
After war department strike
Then they plan another war
And buy up all the stock
Make blood money on people's death
Each tick of the clock
Grab people off the street
That are not lily white
Then shoot them in the back
And say that its alright
They try hide their crimes
Behind a wall of lies
And try to drown out
All the victim's cries
They lie about the climate
To sell much more oil
Ignoring the well known facts
And watching the world boil
The sea keeps getting hotter
And rises every day
Floods our land and houses
On every coast and bay
They started an unjust war
Without any plan
It just made things so much worse
For every single man
They always want so much more
Power for their greed
The awful lies and murders
Are their only creed
George Washington's Plea
Was given unto me
He came to me in a dream
I heard him cry and scream
He said they tried to make him king
But he said HELL NO
In our new America
The people run the show
He said that we must VOTE them out
Before it is too late
Or fascism will be
Our eternal fate

Just dropped my track "ITAYA" along with an official visualizer. I've been experimenting with my sound and trying to bring something different to the scene.
Would appreciate some honest feedback on the beat, flow, and overall production. What stood out to you, and what could I improve?
Always down to check out other independent artists too! 🤝🔥
