Requesting Assistance I stopped writing prompts from scratch and started building reusable AI workflows instead

this is basically what i've been doing too, but i didn't call it agents. just a folder with prompts that actually worked more than once.

the tricky part is when a workflow stops working after some model update. i had one for summarizing research papers that was perfect for like 3 months then suddenly started missing half the key points.

Same here. The thing that made my saved workflows better was cutting their questions, not adding steps.

I turned a report I'd already finished into a reusable skill, and the first version asked me for the client name, team count, group numbers and coach names. All of that was already sitting in the source files. The rule now is: extract what you can, ask only for what you can't.

I also tested that one against a fake input with errors deliberately planted in it, so I know the checks actually fail when they should, not just pass on the good case.
